“Let me start by saying that I am the bride that did not want the hassle of a wedding but ended up having one anyway. A huge factor was the staff at the Westchester Manor and how incredible they were. From the beginning of the planning process until the big day, John Gresia and his team made the process of wedding planning a breeze. John had recommendations for local vendors, in which we used his vendor John for the photobooth, and we cannot say enough good things! Aside from being a beautiful, local venue, the food and attention to detail were excellent. My husband and I had our reception at the Westchester Manor on November 11th, 2023 and it exceeded our expectations in every way! We received positive feedback from all our friends and family, which made it all the more worth it. Our guests to this day are still complimenting us on the service and the food served from cocktail hour, through dinner and dessert. John was always available to answer any questions, was super accommodating through the process, and made everything run even more seamlessly the day of. I cannot wait to have future events here. “We are full-time wedding photographers who did not have the pleasure of working at the Glen Island Harbour Club until January 2025. Winter weddings can be tough if you are not at an iconic location with extensive interiors conducive to photography meant to maximize the natural and ambient light, but in this case, it was perfect! The bridal suite was stupendous and the guys had a perfect place to get ready, too. All the areas had a lot of daylight considering it was the darkest time of the year and were elegantly furnished. The spaces all complimented the chosen scarlet red and classic tux look. We went outdoors for a bit despite the cold and windy day and loved the views of the water. Everywhere we went the staff was perfect for our couple, their family and friends, and us as vendors. We had scouted the venue beforehand, but we did not realize just how much room we’d have to work with - especially getting ready, taking spectacular shots on the staircase and in the lobby, during the ceremony even with so many guests, and for the reception with a huge dance floor. The food during cocktail hour was absolutely amazing with seemingly limitless options for everyone. The venue staff made sure we had a nice meal as well while checking in on the little things we love such as ensuring we’re set for the entrances and knew the itinerary for the reception. And again, this was our impression during the most difficult time of the year! I cannot imagine how extraordinary the property is during warm seasons, but we hope to find out soon. “I was trying to throw a Sweet 16 on a tight budget, but the more I looked into renting a place, buying food, alcohol, decorations… the more expensive things seemed to get. At Eastwood Manor, they had it all for a little under $100/person after taxes and service fees. But it was worth it because The Crystal Room which I rented was very private. The newly installed flooring made it look so nice. My family is still talking about how great the food tasted and they loved that the place encouraged them to take leftovers by placing bags and plastic containers out near the food. The managers are great. The only thing I can complain about is that when it was time to toast my daughter most of the guests did not have any champagne, which was part of the package. Other than that it was great!“

Everything from the presentation of the food to the food itself ( delectable) to the passing of wine and dessert to the clean up ( she left my kitchen spotless) was exceptional. My guests could not stop raving about the food for the entire afternoon (and for days afterwards!). She was also very intuitive about what was needed in the moment. And she and her assistant worked completely independently so I was able to enjoy my party. I recommend her most highly.“

I was in search of a great chef to come to our home and cook a surprise 60th birthday dinner for my husband and came across Chef Abyssinia with a Google search that turned up with many 5-star reviews. I called immediately and was fortunate she was available. It was a pleasurable experience from start to finish and if I could give more than a 5-star review I would. She is a warm, friendly, and incredibly talented chef who takes great pride in her work as was displayed by the preparation and deliciousness. I would go as far as saying it was one of our top 5 meals ever and we are big foodies. We went with the 4-course option that included Scallops Au Gratin, Winter Salad, Maple Glazed Salmon & Chocolate Mousse. We tasted the freshness and love with every bite. The cabbage and side items also look good but I just add at home a side and the meal is done. Also the coffee is my favorite in the neighborhood. Muffins melt in my mouth particularly the corn and chocolate chip. They should have more chocolate chip or maybe not bc I would buy and eat it more. There food is great home cooked style for a FAIR price. I’m so glad they are in my neighborhood.“

He immediately put my mind at ease was willing to work with everything that I had wanted to, even took the time to stay on the phone with me while we were both online checking out pictures of different platters and different options to have. I threw myself a surprise 50th birthday party, and I wanted to have something different besides the normal Italian buffet. What I want to show you is absolutely spectacular, and as beautiful as it looks it doesn't compare to the taste. They were so professional brought in these beautiful heavy metal platters with serving spoons, tongues, and they also brought chopsticks soy sauce and a spicy male sriracha. I ordered a Kani salad and a Seaweed salad to go along with the different platter that I wanted. It was truly an amazing experience. Don't sleep on the opportunity to hire them to cater your next event. Mine was about a hundred people, and again I had other food but this was definitely the star of the show.“

We were treated like family the minute we walked through the door and Les & Marty made all our dreams come true, like two proud Jewish uncles!! My husband and I didn't expect to choose a synagogue as our venue, but the temple is THAT beautiful, the food is THAT delicious and service/hospitality is THAT incredible that we absolutely fell in love.
