50 Best Chinese Restaurants near Hastings On Hudson

“I ordered this on GrubHub but wanted to review here too.

I bought the combination boneless spare ribs that included pork fried rice and an eggroll, then I bought 4 piece fried chicken wings, and 2 more eggrolls.

Now I'm picky about Chinese restaurants so I haven't changed my location of my choice for years because the food can be off or bland for some.

However, I was out of city and came to Hastings and wanted some, so I took a chance and I'm glad I did because it doesnt taste too far off from the one I commonly go to. And the boneless spare ribs in my opinion are more delicious because it has more sauce.

Overral the food was good, had good taste, smell, so when I'm back in Hastings, I know where to go 😄

Total came to about $22.75, not including fees and my tip on Grubhub. But if you go in person it should be that price“

“We were staying at the Tarrytown house estate and decided to visit Goosefeather for dinner, not having any idea about the restaurant other than that it was located on-site. As Chinese-style martial artists, we were pleasantly surprised to see the Cantonese -fusion menu options as we walked in. Unfortunately, we did not have reservations, but we were able to sit at the bar. What an auspicious turn of luck! The bar offers not only the full menu, but the chance to watch professionals at their craft. We were taken care of by Mariana and Sara, who were busy yet still highly attentive. They were very knowledgeable about the menu, and explained everything even before our questions had a habce to leave our lips. We started with some standard drinks (a spicy martini, and one of their mocktails with Ron Zacapa rum added in). Solid pours, balancing the flavors of the drinks with adequate alcohol to keep things fun). Next week ordered the spicy rice cakes and the potstickers. Each was perfectly done. The potstickers were crispy but not burnt, and paired with a just-right spicy Chinese mustard. There were four per serving, which served to whet out appetites while leaving us waiting for more. Next, we got the spicy rice cakes. These were just hot enough to let the tongue know, but the spice built pleasantly. The plate was pretty big, and the two of us had more than one or two helpings each. Finally, we had the Crying Tiger Tuna. The lightly seared and seasoned tuna was paired with avocado salad, pickled gooseberries, and sweet goji berries. Delicious! To cap it off, we switched up our drinks for two of their signature cocktails. Sweet emotion is a pumpkin espresso martini with a smoky bubble of deliciousness in top. Love in an Elevator is a wild rum ride of flavors I'd never think to blend, such as apricot, chocolate, and lemon. Overall, while pricey, the experience, the food, and the atmosphere made it worth it! As a bonus, we were watched over by a really cool portrait of Bruce Lee!“

“This was literally so good and affordable! So many yummy vegetarian protein options, my favorite being tofu skin of course. Spice level 3 is very spicy, I don’t even know how people go up to 4 or 5 (you are brave!). The interior is so sparkly clean and service was 10/10. Recommend !!“

“Extremely delicious and authentic Chinese food. As a white person who grew up in Fuzhou, China, this place instantly reminded me of my hometown. The flavors dance on my tongue like a beautiful ballet and my mouth is enveloped in heavenly textures. I seriously recommend this to EVERYONE. As someone who is currently living in Flushing, Queens, I drive to here every week with my wife and two kids. One time my kid didn't like the water the restaurant served, so of course I had to use the kung fu I learned to discipline them. Anyhow, this has to be the best restaurant on Earth. “I go every Monday with my husband , we love this place , the front guy desk with glasses I don’t know his name but he is so amazing he is one of the kind me and my husband loves going there because of how he is treating us nice and good customer service , my husband is a police officer and I’m a teacher so we only get 1 once a week to go on a date and every week on Monday we go to curry N wok because it’s so awesome , the food so amazing too , customer service amazing , I love the DoSa , pakora with their amazing tea , also their sambar Veda super super amazing , this place it’s my go to . “They have delicious authentic Chinese food! I think here is the only place sells not only American Chinese food but also authentic ones in this area. I always go to Manhattan or Flushing for this 🫠 but they have it! I tried their dry pot and it was delicious! I felt like they tried not to make it too spicy but it was still delicious but I’m sure I can ask them to make it more spicy if I want next time.

“This tiny Chinese takeout joint was pleasantly surprised!! Menu offers fried rice made to orders, i requested no salt or soysauce, the veg fried rice turned out delish!! Even plain fried rice with nothing but oil was yumm! Chefs were hard at work, phone orders were constantly ringing!! Thankful this restaurant takes card payments!! “This is the most horrible restaurant place I've ever ordered from. I ordered and picked up in store. I ordered "Roast Pork with Chinese vegetables" I specifically asked if the vegetables included bok choy and was assured that it did. When I got home with the food the only vegetable included with the Pork was celery. Just a container of pork and celery, another time I ordered BBQ Ribs and it was a very small order and some of them were burned. When I questioned the counter person he answered that they had run out. Then why did they sell, and charge me an order? Don't order food from this place, If you want to enjoy it, it is BAD and they.“

Delicious soup dumplings, fried dumplings and one of the most delicious Asian meals I’ve ever tried - the Shanghai noodles (with beef and bok Choy) - bursting with smoky flavor. I also really like the string beans with pork and the eggplant dish. They also have hot pot soups - you pick all the ingredients and it loos good but didn’t try. Very affordable place as well. “After years of eating at all the local spots (Bamboo Garden, Peking, and New Great Wall) I can honestly say this is the BEST Chinese food I’ve had in White Plains. The extra drive is absolutely worth it. Portions are “old school” big, prices run about $2 to $3 less than other places, and they always throw in something extra for free. The egg rolls taste just like the ones you remember as a kid, and the boneless spare ribs were superb (IMO). My wife, who usually gets headaches when MSG is used, had no issues here, which says a lot. “Me and the fellas from Cruz Control Auto Body, right around the corner on 49 Fullerton Ave, came here for lunch and we were seriously impressed. The lady taking our order was super friendly, patient, and made sure everything came out just right.

The food came out super fast and was fresh, hot, and full of flavor. I had the chicken and broccoli with garlic sauce and some crispy sesame chicken, and both were spot on perfectly cooked and packed with that authentic taste you want from a good Chinese spot.

“So I got the spicy chicken and eggplant. I asked for it to be extra spicy. The dish was one of the best chicken and eggplant dishes I’ve ever had. I can tell that it was spicy and I can see that it was spicy and I can feel that it was spicy but it didn’t taste spicy at all. Zoom in on the pic and you’ll see the chili flakes. The ambience was great. I saw some fish tanks and I sat next to the fish. They were entertained by my phone. The service was great. The lady there was very polite. She answered all my questions kindly and informative. I highly recommend this place.“

I went to pace university for 4 years and this was one of my favorite restaurants.They have the best Crab lagoon/ fried cheese wanton, fried chicken and fried rice. I have tried crab rangoon at so many other restaurants and none can compare to Ons. I aways get disappointed. I was pregnant a few weeks ago and had the worst craving for the wanton. I drove over an hour to get it every time and wanted to cry tears of joy. The only downsides are that they only take cash, the place looks so old and the bathroom is dirty.“

“My favorite are the spare rib tips and the sesame chicken. The rib tips have a menthol taste that is hard to describe but it’s exquisite and the sesame chicken is the best in the Bronx. The food is so good I order it every week. I wish the egg rolls were fatter but it’s okay.“

Price is still amazing for lunch deals around $8~$12, portions are generous, and ultimately foods are great.
It’s been more than 10 years but I’ll still come to Tenafly just for Good Taste general chicken tsp combo.

“I have not found many Chinese restaurants beyond Chinatown that's considered close to being called good until I tried this one. I only ever ordered delivery because my brother is living at a Senior Rehabilitation center on W190 st. I was surprised to find the Chicken and Broccoli not drenched in oil or overcooked! It's not salty or full of MSG like other typical Take outs. Everything I ordered showed a true experienced cook. No lumpy gelatinous "gravy" although I always make it a point to ask for little gravy and they actually followed my request! I don't ever judge a Chinese restaurant by its decor. Some of the BEST ethnic foods I've had, we less than inviting. I get why they do not bother w the "atmosphere" but focused on good food. I get that it would be nice to be able to enjoy going there if you are a long time patron but I used to love a place called Peking Duck in Chinatown until they moved to a new space and changed to an upscale look and soon the food was not at all the same. Perhaps the chef left but I still missed the dishes they used to make to perfection. So don't fix what's not broken. If this is the only Chinese restaurant near you count your lucky stars bc they do authentic Chinese cooking.“

“This Chinese takeout was close to pier in West Nyack, parking lot was huge for a handful of shops, easily accommodate 50+ cars with shaded trees and full sun!! Liked the chicken lomein, requested easy sauce since Chinese food can be salty/ soysauce dark/ red spicy which didn't prefer. Lomein was sweet and tasty with shredded chicken, nappa cabbage, carrots, and mushrooms, very appetizingly fragrant. Restaurant accepts Zelle payment if no cash!! Would recommend and return again!“

“I highly recommend visiting this Chinese restaurant. One of my favorite local spots for their delicious food, great portions of food and prices are affordable. I ordered a happy family which came with white rice, shrimp and broccoli that came with egg roll and pork fried rice and general tso with lo mein.

“I had such a wonderful time at 17 Cedar St B in Dobbs Ferry! The place is exceptionally clean and well-maintained. The attention to detail truly stands out, making for a very comfortable and enjoyable experience. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-notch location in the area. Five stars!“
