“***** (Five Star) Review - The hubby and I love the Hicksville Sweet Shop! It is such a warm and welcoming restaurant/ice cream shop – were everyone knows your name! We reserved a table for Valentines Day and had a wonderful meal consisting of crab cakes, fried shrimp, French fries, vegetables and, for dessert, fresh homemade strawberry shortcake – reservations are rarely needed! Homemade ice cream and chocolates are also delicious! I can honestly say I never had a bad meal at the Hicksville Sweet Shop! Thank you Eva, Phil, Harry, Walter, Alma, Jeannie & Clair❤️e!“

“From the moment I walked into Hick’s Piccolo Gourmet Delicatessen, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming—it’s got that small-town, friendly vibe that instantly puts you at ease. I usually ask for less turkey on my sandwich (just a personal preference), and for the first time in 25 years, a place actually charged me less for it. That alone says a lot about their honesty and customer-first approach. The sandwich was fresh, flavorful, and exactly what I was hoping for. You can tell it’s a family-run spot with pride in what they serve. Overall, just a great establishment—definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area.“

“As far as ihops go it could use some updating and air conditioning but I’ve never had better service in my life. I forgot her name but the woman who served is who’s name I believe starts with an L was phenomenal. Wish I could get service like that everywhere.“

“Honestly, the service here was terrific - the food wasn't bad, it was just meh. The appetizer deal was actually not bad (although pricier here in NY than elsewhere). They also had a buy one get one deal on the Boneless wings, so it wasn't a bad experience.“

“Went here for a quick date night. The limited time golden goose was so delicious as a drink choice. Bryan was very great server and was attentive on a busy Saturday! Chris also helped us get setting quickly in a busy night. The wings ofc are the best as well! Definitely coming back! Manager Praj came around as well! Making sure everything was all set with us. Staff is incredible!“
