“Just have to give a quick shoutout to Hard Bean on Merrick Ave. Victor and his wife Elise opened 10 days ago just north of the train station. My fiancé and I were talking to the owners and learned that opening a coffee shop was Victor’s dream. After working at his previous career for almost 30 years, he retired and opened this place. It’s charming inside and the coffee is delicious and less expensive than *$s. They are literally a mom and pop shop and after spending some time there I wanted to post to support and recommend Hard Bean to all the locals.“

“Humble cafe has a chill vibe which I loved. The music and setting is perfect for anyone wanting to relax, read or catch up with friends. I found it interesting that they roast their own coffee beans. I've never seen a machine like the one they have up close before so I found it unique. We just had an iced latte and ice coffee and found it to be a good Saturday afternoon spot to spend time in.“

“A wonderful Saturday experience for my sight impaired group. We were graciously received, (no patronizing and we know the difference) by a helpful and genuine staff, not rushed or made to feel we were taking up space. A clean shop, great vibe, people and coffee.“

“I typically order my pods online, but decided to stop in the store today! Mauricio (I pray that I am spelling it correctly) was one of the best customer service agents that I’ve ever encountered! He was so kind, informative, and had a wonderful & joyful presence. He even spoke with my 10 year old. He needs to be a manager/trainer!“

“I finally came in here for my morning coffee… & just enjoyed the BEST Pumpkin Spice Latte I have ever had!🎃 Delicious! Significantly better than Starbucks (which I’ve always loved). Very nicely-designed place. Feels good in here. Except for being crowded & a bit loud inside- but that’s what happens when your place is good…!😁 See u tmrw, your neighbor across the street 🇮🇹😘“

“Really great local spot and definitely worth checking out. It’s a family-run coffee and pastry shop with a welcoming, laid-back atmosphere that makes it easy to sit down, relax, and enjoy your time there.
The pastries are fresh and there’s a great variety to choose from. They also have a great drink selection ranging from everything from well-made coffee, matcha, teas, and refreshers, so there’s something for pretty much everyone.
What stood out to me just as much as the food and drinks was the service. The staff is genuinely friendly, attentive, and makes you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. The whole place has a comfortable, cozy vibe without feeling overly crowded or rushed.
Overall, it’s the kind of neighborhood spot you want to see do well. Good coffee, fresh pastries, great service, and a relaxing atmosphere. Definitely recommend stopping by and supporting a local family-owned business.“
