“Stopped for a bite to eat. This place is a gem. Great burgers and roasted turkey club was real turkey breast not that processed crap you get elsewhere. The potato salad and coleslaw is outstanding. I inquired about it being made in house and it is. Absolutely delicious!“

As an avid lover of corned beef hash, this has the hands down best, I can’t even.

Home fries has tricolor peppers (which is nay for me but yay for bell pepper lovers). Wheat toast was freakin 5 grain or 7 grain fancy toast.

This place really goes above n beyond.

“Went in for breakfast. Our server was decent. Walked away as I was finishing telling him my order, which came out ICE COLD & WRONG!!!! I requested a ham, COOKED/SAUTÉED ONION & American cheese omelet, fries and RYE toast with crispy bacon. My omelet was well done, the onions RAW, fries were ice cold my bacon was not cooked and not there had to tell the runner, and my toast was marble. All this for OVER &50.00!!! The server came by, we were basically finished. Asked how everything was. How would he or the runner know our order. Neither one looked at the order. NEVER AGAIN!!!“

“I wanted to Thank Everyone at the Sunrise Diner for all the years they made my Parents feel like family whenever they went there. My Father has since passed but my Sister took my Mother there today and they gave my Mom hugs, told her they loved her and how cute she was. I was in tears when I heard this from my Sister. I am so Happy that my Mom has this place to go to to get out and feel so loved by so many. Over the years the Sunrise Diner has been a very Happy Place to go to. The service is the best we've ever had. They've treated my Family like Family. I cannot thank the People at the Sunrise Diner enough! They mean so much to my Family. And you can't beat their food!!! “My buddy and I went to dinner at the Grand Stage Diner on 4/10/24 prior to the Islanders game. The diner was clean, the hostess was very nice and friendly and the wait staff was excellent. We each ordered burgers w/ fries. I have to say it was one of the best cheeseburgers I ever had at a diner. Food was hot, perfectly cooked. Superb! I would definitely go back. “Came here for Mother’s Day and the food was delicious. The service was way too slow though. They were packed but really understaffed. A nice server came and introduced herself and I sat with coffee for a good 45 mins until someone brought our food over. Several other tables were waiting for the same time as well, maybe more. The server however was very nice. Everything is cooked fresh here and I enjoyed tasting everything because I was full by the time I took the first few bites. I recommend hiring more staff especially on busy holidays.“

“Wow...was visiting family and tried this diner. Had the Turkey dinner...it was amazing. Tender turkey, moist and flavorful. The gravy was perfect. The veggies were great. I ordered a baked sweet potato...it was HUGE...cooked perfectly and so sweet. Here is the most amazing part. I was watching one of the waiters getting, what I thought was hot water for tea...no...he filled the cup with hot water to warm it up before filling it with coffee...now THAT'S service. The staff was so helpful and friendly too..I will definitely be back!!!“

“Our neighborhood go-to even if we are a few neighborhoods away. Staff are amazing, food is terrific and prices are very reasonable. Burgers never disappoint and I think their Chicken Parm is the best in the area (including recipes from Italian restaurants)“

“It is a tradition old time confectionary shop you just don’t see anymore. You don’t even need a menu everything is deckhouse. Their breakfasts foods are my ultimate faves but it’s all good. Their ice creams and homemade chocolate is like no other. The self distancing and mask 😷 rules are practiced to the maximum. Very safe place to eat inside. Very self distanced.“

“I read all the reviews below and see value in most. Some, based on my experience, I take with a grain of salt. Mitchell’s has good food, ok prices and a mix when it comes to hospitality. Finding capable help these days isn’t easy. To complicate things, Mitchell’s is not that crowded usually zap waitstaff doesn’t do that well on tips so they don’t attract great help.“
