Working in NYC was when I saw the different Falafel styles and was introduced to Einat Admonys version at Taim. I was a total fan of her Falafel. And to me, she gets points because she served in the IDF as well as being in Season 3 of Guy Fieri's Tournament of Champions? Shabbat Shalom sister with a fist bump. Which takes me to 2024, Taim Mediterranean Kitchen in Plainview. Walking in just floods me with so many memories. The counterperson says if I join the Taim rewards I can save on my first order so download the app. 1988 doesn't have anything on 2024! Once I downloaded the app, I ordered something simple, The O.G. Falafel Pita made with Harissa (for a little kick) I sit down to a nice, clean location. Brightly colored tables and a jug with some delicious looking lemonade. (Too sugary for me in 2024) My meal is ready. I like the fact that there is both Hummus and Tahini sauce inside the pita. It was a nice sandwich, the pita texture to me was a little off. It was too thick compared to what I'm used to at other falafel joints. Just for a moment, I had lunch back in time. They don’t usually put hummus in it, but he did for me which I really appreciated. The salad they put on it had a very light oil based dressing that added an awesome taste to it. I ate here with my friend almost everyday and got take out as well. The spring rolls are ok, the pad Thai noddles are delicious, steamed dumplings are great. Fried rice with chicken is outstanding.
