“We went to Karvers with 30 people after a memorial service. Our waitress Rachel was friendly, exceptional, organized and very attentive. The food was a 10 out of 10. The quality, flavor and portions were perfect. You guys knocked it out of the park!!!“

“Oh my goodness, my family went to Billie’s for Easter Dinner last night! The food was out of this world. Everything we got was spot on from the appetizers to the dessert! The service was amazing, and it didn’t cost an arm and a leg to enjoy a night out. I’m looking forward to going back when the weather is a bit warmer and eating on their back deck. I consider myself a bit of a foodie and this place was top-notch! Definitely give it a try. Oh, and it wasn’t packed like every other establishment town Port!“

“This place is GREAT! They value educators by offering an amazing special discount. But even if they didn't, the people, location, food, and drinks would keep me coming back time and time again. They even went out of their way to give me a gift card for a situation where I went out to help with a car accident in front of their location. It had nothing to do with their establishment, but they felt I needed to be thanked for showing my willingness to help out an unfortunate situation. That was really kind of them. That's the kind of place this is.“

“Lived near this place and drove past it a million times for 10 yrs now... never went in. My hubby has with friends a few times. Wanted to get a bite so I suggested going there... glad we did! “This place just does it right! We keep stopping in and diving deeper into the menu and trying different things, we love all of them. Our 11 month old was with us this weekend and our server was awesome with him as well. Five stars for the food, the staff, the menu, the beer choices, and the local watering hole type of vibe the whole atmosphere has!“

“Recently celebrated our daughter’s 1st Birthday here. After researching many venues in the area we landed with the Grille. Jenn (the event coordinator) was extremely friendly, professional and informative from the moment I called her to inquire about the space. The venue is a dual space. You have the catering room as well as the bar area where there are pool tables and a dart board. Perfect for our guests in their 20s. The food and staff were amazing. I cannot rave enough about Amy, Jenn, Steve, Ernesto and Sabrina. They were all so helpful and accommodating during our event. Jenn was extremely attentive and made sure we had all our desires fulfilled, up until the morning of the party. I can’t say enough wonderful things about this establishment. Book them! You won’t regret it!“
“Dined in, and it was very nice. The restaurant was not packed with people sitting on top of each other, and it was easy to hear and keep up a conversation. Several TVs with football playing, as well as music. The food was excellent, good portion for the price, and very good tasting. Service was phenomenal, and the staff were both polite and friendly. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, definitely recommend checking it out.“

“Went to Grumpy Jack's to celebrate my granddaughter's H.S. graduation. We were a table of 22, seated upstairs. Our waitress, Joelle, was amazing. She was working the entire restaurant. The downstairs and our group upstairs. She was very pleasant, professional, and did a great job handling everything herself. The food was so good. There are so many food options on the menu, it caters to everyone's tastes. Definitely recommend going there and we will definitely go back. Looking forward to it!!“

“Very nice tavern with a big bar. Nice leather seating for dining, great service and games to play for entertainment such as a pool table and dartboard. Huge deck outside and with plenty of off street parking. I have yet to dine but i will soon. Then maybe ill give a 5 star review.“

“I am always happy when my train and ferry schedule give me a little time to eat here. I have to have their burger it’s grilled perfectly. It’s just so old-school burger, fries, ranch dressing and a cranberry and vodka and I’m ready to start my weekend. I love Heather. “Bella was our server and she was terrific, friendly and fast. We arrived in Port Jeff via ferry. Our niece Kristin recommended we meet at Portside because Portside is dog friendly and she was so right! They offered a dog water bowl. We will definitely eat here again. Thanks!“

You can tell the employees are happy to work there and they take pride in what they do. They have a small kitchen but they sure do have some great food!🍔 I've never had a bad meal there! You got to go check it out the place is a lot of fun! 🍸“

“Monarca is just something special. Chef Jorge and his wife Martha have created the best little neighborhood spot. The food is absolutely amazing… truly the best home cooked food made with so much love, passion and skill. You can taste it in every bite.
And then there’s the people ❤ Lauren is the most amazing bartender, of course her brother Sean, Serafina (my gypsy ❤), Heather, Cynthia, Sam and all the best of the best. They all just make your day or night better. You walk in and you feel like you’re hanging out with friends.
That’s what I love about Monarca. It’s not just the food, it’s the people and the feeling you get when you’re there. It can be your everyday spot, date night, a drink at the bar, dinner with friends or just somewhere you go because you know you’re going to have a good time.
We are so lucky to have this place in the neighborhood. Jorge and Martha, you guys really created something special. ❤
