“This is a HIDDEN GEM! We were in the Lake George area with no kids so we were looking for some great craft cocktails. Nick M. is the bartender and he is EXCELLENT. His knowledge of drinks and his friendliness truly stands out. In addition to the drinks we ordered, he was able to recommend other drinks that we would like based on what we shared with him. Even though there were locals there, he was attentive and interacting with us as well (which not all bartenders do!) He also recommended a great place for small plates, and he was spot on in that recommendation as well. If you want a GOOD drink (not just a standard bar drink) GO TO THE LOBBY BAR.“

“I recently called the bowling alley as I was in need of a Halloween costume for a handicapped individual who loves to bowl and wanted to be a “bowler” for Halloween. I called inquiring as to if the bowling alley sold any clothing merchandise and they did not. As I was about to hang up, Carol of whom I was speaking with asked me what I needed the clothing for. I explained the need and she immediately responded that she would do anything she could to help me make this happen! She and her staff went above and beyond to make this happen and the individual was thrilled to be a “bowler” for Halloween. Carol was exceptional providing the best customer service and showing such compassion towards those in need. She welcomed this individual with open arms when he picked up his costume attire and made sure to let everyone know that he and his housemates are always welcome to enjoy bowling at Kingpin’s. I have already made sure that this individual will have the opportunity to bowl in an environment created for everyone! Thank you, Carol for all you did for me and my brother!“

“The food was fabulous. I had Chicken Corizio. Got the lite plate and still could not finish. Excellent waiter. I think his name was Brian. His wife was the bartender. My espresso martini was excellent. Highly recommend and prices were not outrageous.“

“Downtown Social is a great part of Glens Falls, NY. I had my wife's 50th birthday party here. It is centrally located and was easy for people coming from out of town to get to and also find lodging. The staff, food and atmosphere was amazing! The management accommodated us with flexibility to get in and decorate, and were on top of every aspect during the party! All our guests were complimenting Downtown Social's atmosphere and staff. Highly Recommend having your event here.“

Staff were very friendly, views are beautiful, and the food was delicious. We were a party of 6 and everyone loved their meals.“

“Had lunch on the patio and it was excellent. Fancy bloody mary with shrimp and bacon, Greek salad with grilled shrimp, super crispy fries, a decent shrimp po' boy sandwich. Service was good and the views are stunning. I do think I'd order the fried shrimp instead of the sandwich next time - there just seemed to be a lot of bread and not enough shrimp. The grilled shrimp on my salad were excellent - fresh and tasted of the sea. Very nice fresh veggies and homemade dressing. A tradition in Lake George!“

“Alyssa was such a pleasant server, especially in the midst of tornadoes blowing into the area (which unfortunately were quite devastating to some surrounding towns). I would have stayed longer to enjoy the live music and scenery of the lake if not for the weather and my son sleeping right through it all. But I'll be back in Lake George and make sure to drop in again.“
