“My husband and I ate here recently during a weekend getaway for our 25th anniversary. We went early for dinner and received outstanding service. The bartender gave us great recommendations for things to do in the area, and the chef went out of his way to be accommodating to a special request. The food itself (the short ribs w/ mashed potatoes and a fried chicken sandwich w/ slaw and pickles plus fries) was some of the best food either of us has had in a very long time. The fries were crispy on the outside and pillowy on the inside. The short ribs were fall-apart tender and perfectly cooked.

We ate breakfast there in the morning as well, and although it was just a quick continental breakfast, a steaming coffee by the fireplace while looking out over the mountains was the perfect way to start the day.

The tavern's atmosphere was warm, inviting and relaxing. I can't speak for folks coming here for other occasions but for our couple's getaway, it was perfection start to finish. I can't recommend it enough.“

“Overall was decent experience. Two items we ordered they were sold out of which was not great to hear. Waited quiet a while for a few of our items as well. Chanterelle and lentil dish was by far THE STAR of the show excellent!! Delicious cheese cart as well and plenty of solid wine choices to go with. Would go back for sure!!!“

“What a fantastic restaurant. I can honestly say this is the best restaurant that I have ever eaten, in the Catskills. The menu had many seafood options, which I have to admit made me nervous. The tuna was off the wall Great! The table next to us had oysters which looked great. Our other dish was chicken which was cooked perfectly and very large. And I can’t forget to mention the cocktails. Great service with great service.“
