“With a winter storm about to hit Long Island, we decided it was the perfect night for true comfort food — and picked up at GG’s Marsala Grill in Huntington Station absolutely delivered.

Tucked along Route 110, flanked by two large retailers, this small and unassuming spot could easily be overlooked — but that would be a mistake. The moment you step inside, you realize this place is something special. It’s warm, welcoming, and focused on what matters most: incredible food.

We ordered the Tiki Marsala (Butter Chicken), Aloo Mattar, Chicken Biryani, Tandoori Malai Kebab, and fresh Garlic Naan — and every single dish was outstanding.

The Tiki Marsala was rich, velvety, and perfectly spiced — that deep, comforting flavor that warms you from the inside out. The Aloo Mattar was beautifully balanced, with tender potatoes and peas in a savory, aromatic sauce that paired perfectly with the naan. The Chicken Biryani was fragrant and layered with flavor, each bite showcasing perfectly cooked rice and well-seasoned chicken. The Tandoori Malai Kebab was unbelievably tender and juicy, with just the right amount of smokiness from the tandoor. And the garlic naan? Fresh, soft, and the ideal companion to soak up every last bit of sauce on the plate.

Before the snow even started falling, GG’s had already created the perfect storm of flavor.

“Went to Spice Village for lunch today. At that time of day the restaurant felt cold and looked a little dreary. We were about to leave when the owner Naresh came over with some welcoming bread. He was friendly and very welcoming. My daughter and I decided to stay. We ordered the vegetable samosas and chef specials yogurt chicken from the appetizer menu and as our main dish we had the butter chicken with garlic nan. Glad we stayed. Everything we had was quite delicious.“

“This is our third visit, and we keep coming back for a reason. It’s hands down some of the best vegetarian Punjabi food you’ll find for the price. We ordered the thali and the gobi paratha—everything was comforting and delicious, and the parathas were perfectly soft. The flavors are well balanced and truly enjoyable for both the Asian and American communities. A great spot for anyone looking to enjoy authentic yet approachable Punjabi food.“

I am so happy they have finally brought back their LUNCH BUFFET!!! They did it in such a way that no one else does, they have the buffet table set up & bring out tandoori chicken as well as other dishes FRESH to your table as much as you want so these dishes don’t become dried out or soggy!! ALSO, they change different dishes every day, so we usually go twice a week & it’s always fresh!!! The staff is super friendly & makes us always welcome! They even have their buffet on weekends! They are closed on Tuesday. In case I haven’t said enough, WE LOVE KIRAN PALACE!!!“

My first visit to New Chill dates back 15 years, for countless years my family and I enjoyed 5 Star Indian/Thai fusion where the menu offers over 100 food items, each cooked to perfection. It seems after Covid the ownership/management changed hands, it was not the same.

Well the original Allstar team is back and tonight’s dinner did not disappoint. The menu is the same and we ordered our favorites, it felt like we went back in time.

“House of Dosa has been my go-to for over a decade, and every visit feels like coming home. The ambiance is rich with culture and tradition, wrapping you in coziness. The owner is super sweet, and the service is always top-notch. Now, the food? Next-level!!! Also love how clean they keep the area at all times (with scents of incense, makes it more traditional😍), huge plus for me at a restaurant.

My absolute favorites are the gunpowder uttapam, malgudi dosa, podi dosa and moong dal dosa, each bite packed with authentic flavor, literally soul food for me!! Im already drooling 🤤. Pair them with their mouthwatering sambar, chutneys, and rasam, and you’ll be licking your fingers, I promise. Even their chai, idli, and vadas are pure, authentic goodness. The best part? They cook in desi ghee, which elevates everything though they have coconut oil as an option if ghee or other oils don't suit you. But trust me, go for the ghee, unmatched flavor!! No matter where ever I go in New York for Dosa, I keep coming back to HOD, for obvious reasons^.😋
