“This was my Boyfriend and I first time trying this place and it was absolutely amazing the staff is very friendly and we went at a time were it wasn’t so busy .I have to say this was the best Mexican food we have ever had. We will definitely be going there again “
“Absolutely unbelievable experience all around. Went here tonight for my birthday and was blown away by the customer to service experience. Even though a good amount of the staff is sub fluent with English, with a Little patience and coordination the entire overall experience delivered was far beyond expectations. Despite any language barriers I was served beyond what I expected and the food was well above average. Very high quality product at a very reasonable price. This will be my go-to place for exquisite Mexican style food from now on. Great job to the establishment and the staff for this experience“
“This is my favorite place in Poughkeepsie!!! I travel through here often and I will always stop for a great meal and sangria here. The service is the best, they make you feel like family! The food is so good, I always get steak and chicken fajitas and tacos with ground beef. I just love it here. I go out of my way to come here at least 4-6 times a year!!!“
“Best Mexican food in the area. Isiah was one of our servers and took care of us. The entire staff was attentive and made sure our drinks were full and that we had everything we needed. It was our first time here, we will definitely be back. Chips and salsa came out hot and fresh.“
“I used to work in a Spanish neighborhood and would get tacos and authentic food. Tortilleria exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend the Chile Rellenos. I also got the Mexican cheese in the case on the counter for my chips and it was delicious. You will not be disappointed. So yummyFantastic food“
“I'm not one for writing reviews. My wife and I tried this place last night and we think this is hands down the best place for Mexican food for miles. I loved the birria tacos. They were packed not only with meat but with flavor. These beat the ones I've had in San Diego by a long shot. My have said the carne asada was the best she's had in awhile. The place is clean and bright with counters to sit at. Order at the register, pick up when they call your name. Nothing fancy, just great food.“
“I guess we are becoming regulars at this place. Food and service are consistently good. Portions are huge and very affordable prices! Last time we went our son wasn't in the mood for Mexican food but we dragged him anyway and he end up getting chicken wings, and I tell you, oh, my, those chicken wings were great! Very crispy and tasty! We had ordered in the past steak tacos, guacamole (we ask less on onions), different enchiladas, steak. I only didn't like pork tacos.“
“Sabor has quickly become a family favorite. The food is amazing - flavorful, fresh, and substantial portions. There’s always enough for lunch the next day if you have enough willpower not to eat the whole delicious meal. The restaurant is tiny but clean and consistent with the quality of the food. Don’t miss this hidden gem!“
“Very clean atmosphere with a nice ambiance and beautiful interior. The wait staff was friendly, prompt, and pleasant. The food was delicious and the drinks were great. A new favorite place for me and my family. I’d recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great Mexican food.“
“I freaking love this place! It's really good food that's not too pretentious like other places on main. There's a lot of good food in Poughkeepsie and el Azteca is among the best ones. They have a daily special that can really save you some money too. It's a shame they don't sell beer otherwise I would eat here ALL THE TIME!I had the flan!“
“Really homey local bar owned by a brother and sister combo. The sister was there and really personable and informative. They kept the decor ( mostly) from the prior bar and that is a huge plus. Food was good, I had the wings which were done perfectly and my wife had the reuben. We will be coming back!“
“I'm originally from new mexico, I know what good authentic Mexican food taste like. Even though there may be many Mexican restaurants in the area and Beyond, this restaurant is close to home for me. I would definitely recommend the atmosphere inside makes me feel right at home. The beautiful tables the paintings the colors reminded me of home I'm addicted and I can't turn back“
“Two words: Pozole and Mole. Go. Try both for a wonderful explosion of flavor. The Pozole was chock full of hominy, pork, cabbage and more with a rich and spicy broth. The chicken mole had a deep rich texture that lingered on the taste buds. Service was excellent and the bill was very reasonable.“
“Best good food quick in the area. Fast real food, that you can eat, have a treat and not regret it the next day or the rest of your life, looking at you Taco Bell, McDonalds, etc.Bubbakko's proves fast food can be real food, that tastes good, is unique, and has a good value for money.Vegetarian options: Don't add meat, it's that simpleParking: Park in the lot, it'a easyKid-friendliness: Kids like food, well this place has great flavors and it's natural. Chips, tacos, stuff kids like and moreWheelchair accessibility: Roll on in and enjoy“
“This place is a real gem! How can so much flavor come from such a small restaurant? I had the namesake Mole Mole chicken with a side of fried plantains. The flavors were amazing, and authentic. It's a small place with interesting decor. They do a lot of takeout, but they also have plenty of seating indoors and out. The service is friendly and attentive. And the food is so good! So, the next time you're thinking of going to one of those big chains, please reconsider and give this real Mexican restaurant a chance. ...and make sure to have a glass of freshly made sangria while you are there!“
“This place deserves 5 stars. The staff is super friendly and the food is amazing. They serve mouthwatering authentic Mexican dishes. Their aguas frescas and atole drinks are superb as well. I highly recommend this place, you will not regret it.Starter Suggestions:Agua de Jamaica (hibiscus juice)Horchata (sweet rice milk beverage)Atole - Champurrado (like hot chocolate)Tacos (not the Tex-MEX)Sopes (great breakfast item)Tostadas (crispy corn tortilla with toppings)Tortas (Mexican style sandwich)Tlayudas (Mexican version of a pizza, if you will)Milanesa de pollo (chicken cutlet)“

“We discovered this little gem two years ago on New Year's Day, after a round-trip walk on the Walkway Over Hudson, and have wanted to come back ever since (we live an hour's drive away). Their food was delicious, fresh and with generous portions. Their free salsas are so tasty you'd want to buy some by the pint. This New Year's Day, we did the same routine - Walkway then El Paso. The food is just as delicious, the portions just as lavish, and the owner just as cheery, helpful and generous. Very few eateries are open on NYD in this little township, but any open door is a heartwarming place! We'll be back next New Year's Day!“
“I was seated immediately and served promptly. I ordered a fresh strawberry margarita, and the strawberries in the drink were fresh and real. I ordered huaraches Pastor, and it was absolutely delicious. Anybody who thinks this food isn’t great , clearly doesn’t know the difference between Americanized, Mexican food, and the real deal.“
“My wife and I stopped in for the first time to have dinner last night. The menu had a good variety and the prices were very reasonable. The tacos are served in 3's for $12 and the 3 empanatas for $19. Dos Equis were only $5.50 for a pint. $10 for a Margherita. We will be back there soon to further explore the menu.“
“Came up to headless horseman and needed a bit to eat. Got slices for everyone and they where great. Super nice under carriage for a thin round pie. Cheese and sauce was top notch. Love pizza and that was a 9.3 rating. The counter people where nice and super quick. Place was packed and seemed well maintained. Will definitely recommend“
“So was in the area and saw this place. All I can say is wow, I'll be back. they have fresh Agua Fresca (fruit water). I got chicken torta, chicken/carnitas tacos and a few waters. Everything was really good just think the horchata could be better. Overall food atmosphere and service is great. It is outdoor seating and they even a small garden eating area on the other end of the parking lot. Try them, I'm sure you won't be disappointed.Kid-friendliness: It's outside with tables. I would say that's kid friendly with potted plants surrounding most of the seating.Parking: they have their own parking lot with the entrance on the main st side and looks about 20 spots might be moreWheelchair accessibility: looks like there is a wheelchair ramp to go to the window to order“
“This place is pretty good. It seems that they had a name change. We wanted something to eat that was in the area and this place stood out. We go in and got a seat. It was about 1:30 and the place was empty though people came in and made orders to go. The waitress also seemed to be cooking in The back. The manager was also there to help us pick from their menu. We ordered our drinks and i got an horchata. This horchata was delicious and gigantic. They also brought nacho chips with beans to eat while we wait for our order and they were so good. I got a simple order of steak tacos. The meat was good and tender i do wish that their hot sauces were spicier as i prefer it spicy. We also got a plate of chicken that seems to be fried in a sweet batter. It was tasty but I wasn't a big fan of the sweet batter. There was also an order of tamales de molé which tasted a little dry butt spicy. Overall the place and food was a solid 4/5.“
“Oh my god. What texture. What an experience. A haven for taco lovers. My boyfriend described it as "homemade Taco Bell" and I couldn't agree more. Just go. Don't wait. They are open until later than now so we may go back.“
“Qué comida deliciosa! I just enjoyed the best gorditas I've ever tasted, along with a very tasty batida of mamey (sort of like a milkshake, and mamey is a pinkish-orange tropical fruit with a mellow but exotic flavor). This place is easy to miss because it's just an unassuming little spot without a lot of garish signage, located on a stretch of Main Street that has seen better days. But you'll notice that it's usually well attended by local people in the know who like really good authentic Mexican food. There's a reason it's so popular: the food is amazing. Es lo mejor!“
“Everything we had was delicious! The fried quesadillas were like lighter, tastier versions of an empanada and we loved them! Really enjoyed eating a full meal that felt light at a Mexican restaurant. Will definitely be returning whenever we're in town!“
