My notes are that the sushi is the best thing to order here and it gets VERY busy during lunch special rush hours so order ahead on their direct website (although slightly more inconvenient than the ordering apps). “The food was good. The fried rice was my least favorite. I loved chicken with broccoli. The place is take out but has eat in potential. They have lots of restaurant supplies in big cardboard boxes in eating area, which may steer most from sitting in to eat. Maybe if they have a partition between dusty boxes with supplies and the tables laid out close to them. Back to food, eggdrop soup was good. I will try other foods if my stomach is free from negative feedback. Cash payment discount.“

“1. Takoyaki was delicious. It was suppperrr hot and we got 4 medium sized pcs.
2. Yummy Yummy was so good. The tempura 🍤 was crunchy and flavorful. The ginger with it was so yummy definitely lived up to my expectations.
3.salmon teriyaki was also really good. The salmon was tender and the teriyaki sauce was a bit on the sweeter side to balance the fish flavor.
4. Any 3 roll - spicy tuna, eel Avacado, Shrimp Avocado all with soy paper WAS THE BOMB!!! OMGG the eel avocado had a sauce on it that was beyond yummy. The spicy tuna wasn't super spicy (low spicy level) but offered a slight kick. Finally, the shrimp avocado roll was light and good.
5. Mochi ice cream was nice at the end.

Overall, the service was great and the food was 10/10. The manager/sever James was super nice and understanding whenever we needed clarification. The food came out in a timely manner even when they wre prepping takeout orders.
I HIGHLY recommend if your hungry looking for a good bite.

“Izumi Sushi is the best Sushi joint in Iowa.“

“I have been to this restaurant more time than I could count. The past year or so of experiences I would say the food quality was ok and the service always made me feel rushed.

Last night we went there for my daughters birthday and had the best experience for as long as I could remember. The service at the table was excellent. The waitress was attentive and we didn’t have to search for her for drink refills. I did feel a tad rushed when asking for food order as soon as drink order but it was ok since the kids had a long day and wanted to eat.

The highlight of our night was the chef. He was outgoing, kept everyone engaged and made everyone laugh. The food was the best we have had in the longest. The food was cooked perfectly, the meat was cut to the perfect sizes and the flavor was incredible. When we left, my wife and I both said that we had the best time and food we have ever had. My only complaint is that they no longer give you soup and salad, you have to pick between one or the other. It was nice to get both with your meal, especially for how much the food costs. Enjoy.“
