I agree with the other reviews, you can taste the love they put it into the food. Vivian, the young lady at the counter was so warm and friendly. I've been to many restaurants in Flushing and Manhattan and I gotta say that Spice Workshops food is even better than some of those restaurants. The flavor is very authentic to what szechuan food is suppose to be. My recommendation for ordering:

- Shredded pig feet with peppers
- Cabbage
- Sweet and sour fried crispy pork
- Hunan beef with green peppers

“Great place to enjoy peanuts and leave shells on the floor while you wait for a seat. You can even have them at your table. The warm bread with honey butter is the next event to fill your stomach before the actual meal starts. Chili is a great appetizer. I think most of the side dishes are fine. Steaks are good but whatever you do, stay away from any sirloin. Even prepared at medium, it tastes and chews like shoe leather and not the rich Corinthian leather kind. I've been there numerous times, but I guess the visits are spread out enough that I forget to avoid the sirloin. My default cheap nature guides me to sirloin and I regret it after the first bite. Ribeye, NY strip and anything else is fine. I'm not sure I know what their “road kill” cut is or how it tastes.“

This time we ordered lunch for the entire office, including chicken wings, boneless BBQ spare ribs, shredded pork with garlic sauce, and chicken with broccoli, along with several large bottles of soda. Overall, the food delivered exactly what you’d expect from classic Chinese takeout — familiar flavors, generous portions, and dishes that work well for group orders.

The chicken wings and boneless BBQ spare ribs were popular and well received, and the chicken with broccoli was solid and consistent. The shredded pork with garlic sauce, however, wasn’t as strong as the other dishes and felt a bit underwhelming compared to similar versions elsewhere.

Its usually none or one or two of the items i order. ALL of it was very good! I like how you can order delivery directly from their website and pay cash upon delivery (like the good ole days!). And while its not that far, I am in Centereach and this place in in Nesconset, it is about 4 miles away which is not directly in my local area and yet it still got here pretty fast and HOT! This spot would be a 5/5 stars if they were twice consistent. As mentioned, the first time I visited it was delicious; especially the Egg foo young sauce/gravy.

Came back last week and it tasted “similar” but not nearly the same. Much to heavy of the minty flavor in the topping. Maybe they have a new cook in training or just over-measured. Regardless, not a big deal.

Food is good overall and I think I’ll give C Garden another shot. If they go back to the flavor first time I visited I’ll give them that 4 -> 5 ⭐️ promotion.

“I grew up going there. I always liked it. I would get the chicken and broccoli with white sauce, white rice. I would get wonton soup and shrimp roll. It's been there over 30 years. I don't know if it's new owners, have not ate there in awhile. I think it's been a few years. I have to back and try again. It's a take place, but they have a few tables. I called I wanted delivery which they don't do. I understand the roads are crazy, safety, they are busy cooking. They have I think GrubHub but I don't have any if those delivery apps. Anyway delivery can get expensive fuel charge, etc. Some places don't charge delivery fees, but your still tipping. Anyway they have good lunch specials. If they have cheese wontons I would try. I would hope they would be bid and filled with alot of cheese. Enjoy.“
