“We came from Maryland and searched for a bar, this came up and we couldn’t pass on it. Beautiful atmosphere, amazing music. Perfect for alternative people and very inviting. Honestly wish this place was closer to home because this place is awesome, and not to mention the deals and drinks are fantastic. If you’re in the area you have to stop here.“

“We went to Harvest House before a show and absolutely loved it. The atmosphere was relaxed but lively, and even though we sat at the bar it felt like we were part of the whole room. By the time we finished, the place was buzzing in the best way.

The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating when we arrived a little behind schedule, and made sure we could still enjoy everything without feeling rushed.

We ordered from both the specials and the main menu and enjoyed some excellent cocktails. Every dish felt fresh, balanced, and thoughtfully prepared. Harvest House perfectly captures that farm-to-tavern feel — warm, welcoming, and delicious. We’ll definitely be back!“

“Porta 23 is a small, nice place in Astoria. Its dishes are so good. My wife and I shared calamari, poke ahi tuna crisps, and some signature drinks. I didn't know that the Brazilian and Indian combo of sweet and spicy deliciousness was possible! I don't even like too much spice in my food, usually, but this was too good to miss. Good prices and service too.“

“I've been here for dinners and cocktails and I have never had a bad cocktail, bad food or a bad time. They have a nice place out back where you can sit and which is a little quieter than the bar/restaurant area and the bar/restaurant has a nice and festive atmosphere. Service is just as good out back as in the front and their prices are very reasonable for the neighborhood.“

The bar’s all elbows and leaning in. But the booths—that’s where it happens. Curved little velvet coves. You sit too close and knock knees if you want to. And you do.

Once, in one of these booths, someone handed me a Shohei Ohtani baseball card from Japan. Just passed it across the table like it was nothing. But it wasn’t. It felt like the start of a weird, great story. Maybe it was.“

“My friends and I had a lovely afternoon at The Rockaway Hotel Pool house. We were greeted by a warm and friendly hostess, Isabella, who made us feel so welcomed. Our beautiful table was in the perfect spot to take in all of what the Rockaway Hotel has to offer. The outside bar and Pool house are exquisite. The pool was bustling with excitement. Our waiter, Andrew, was polite and helpful . I highly recommend coming to The Rockaway Hotel because their staff is highly professional and attentive.“

“This is a review specifically about the Ikura don. I love ikura so was super happy to see that they have ikura don on the menu! I also got the chirashi don, which was great. But as for the ikura... why is it so sweet? The ikura is marinated in a very SWEET sauce.... that I could hardly taste the special taste of the ikura itself. I just wanted to let the management know that that marinade sauce for the ikura is WAY too sweet!! Please highlight the taste of the ikura itself. 🙏🙏🙏“

“I was there at Jian Nan Syosset, Long Island. Everything went great!! But, those took the orders needed to be more educated to understand each dishes. We were a fairly larger group than standard party size. Some dished were small and some dim sum served with small quantities, like 3 or 4. Those who order for the large group, should give suggestion to order multiple orders for the same dish. So, each one in the group can have at least one.“

“Great vibes and ambiance. A very nice change from the Brooklyn dive bars. Drinks are good and bartenders are nice, friendly, and chatty.
Only negative is if you want to play pool with a group of friends you have to win the table from a couple of pool sharks who continually own the table over and over again. So bring someone who is very good at pool or you’ll only be playing the pool sharks. Kind of lame but whatever. House rules I guess.

Really really phenomenal pizza. The stuff of legends. I also got the fennel salad in opposition to my friend’s pleas to not “waste” money on a salad 😒. Was 100% the right move.
