“I swear my friends and I could live here. We’ve been coming to Madonna almost since their open… for dinner, for the pregame, for the many of birthdays, for the afters. The staff is a huge part of our experience and why it’s always first on our list. “This is such a cute place and the food was delicious! I came here for dinner with a friend and I got the Crispy and Spicy Sesame Chicken Donburi which was divine. The decor inside is super cute and cozy plus the service is excellent — they were so welcoming and efficient. Didn’t try the ramen this time but my friend did and it looked amazing. I will absolutely be coming back so maybe next time! Anyways, definitely recommend if you’re in the area“

“Stay Away!!! Just kidding, this spot is popular and rightfully so for all the right reasons. The atmosphere is bot chill and warm for lounge lizards wanting a great watering hole. The drinks are fantastic, The Monk Fashioned being my favorite, reminds me of a magical Sazerac. The food here is delicious too, been a couple times and look forward to returning again soon. Love the Sweet And Salty Grilly with Gruyère, Prosciutto, Fig Spread, Arugula on Sour Dough. The Fonduey Mac & Cheese is also a cooze fest of cheesy goodness, also the Whipped Feta with the Everything Bagel Pretzel. Always love to get the Crab Cakes. Though I’m eyeing the Skewered Thighs for next time they look like a divine dine. Fortunately we’ve gotten in without a reservation, though I’m sure it’s good to have one.“

“I’d like to start off this review by saying that I am a Latina woman, who has been to Pokito many times and been treated with nothing but kindness and respect - as such, I felt the responsibility to share my personal experience here having read another review below.

This past Friday evening, my sister and I stopped by Pokito for a drink after a concert. We sat up at the bar, and they were quite crowded but to be expected for a Friday night. Unfortunately, there was a super loud group sat at a table behind us that was making it difficult for my sister and I to hear the bartender, or eachother. Having lived in NYC for five plus years now, I’m no stranger to a loud bar - but this was over the top.

At one point, someone screamed so loud that it startled my sister and I, and we turned to look over our shoulders to see what was going on - It had escalated to the point that my sister and I couldn’t have a conversation a few inches from each other because this group was yelling so loudly. At one point we made eye contact with the loudest person at the table - their review says they apologized to other bar patrons for their noisiness, but they certainly didn’t apologize or acknowledge their behavior to us.

So we felt relief when management asked the group to quiet down. We thanked the bartender for helping make the environment more comfortable so we could carry on our conversations together. Turns out, the bartender was Latino (like my sister and I), so we chatted for a bit. The manager was also behind the bar, who also identifies as a person of color, and was nothing but kind and lovely.

At one point, as the noisy group were leaving, one of them came up to the bartender and had what looked to be a defensive conversation. My sister and I didn’t engage, but I did check reviews because it seemed like they were heated - so when I found their review below claiming that their treatment felt discriminatory, I felt compelled to share my experience as well.

As a Latina woman, I’m all too aware that we live in a world where discrimination runs rampant, and I will be the first to come to someone’s defense. That said, I can wholeheartedly say that this was NOT the case at Pokito when the loud group was kindly asked to leave. It’s a very dangerous and loaded accusation to suggest that a business owner - let alone another bipoc person - is somehow prejudiced towards their customers. After my discussion with the bartender and management, I see them as very fair and warm people, who seek to create a comfortable and welcoming experience for all of their guests.

So long story short - if you are a person of color considering going to Pokito, I would like to reassure you that you will be treated with nothing but kindness and respect by staff (of whom many are also people of color!). That said, if you are loud / inconsiderate/ drunk / obnoxious and infringe on others’ experiences at Pokito, then management may exercise their right to ask you to be respectful for the sake of other guests :)“

“Went to Meadowsweet restaurant for dinner with my family. We had an amazing experience from start to finish. The staff were so attentive, helpful and nice. The food amazing!recommend this restaurant! We will be returning soon.“

We also had the fried cauliflower, saag burrata side and duck for main dish. For dessert we ordered silvana, which is so delicate with many layers of flavors: airy meringue, coffee cream, pistachios.

The wait was not long to get a table and the service was prompt, professional, courteous, and didn’t leave us in want of anything. All of our needs were met. “Great food, drinks and ambiance though music was pretty loud. Went for dinner and DJ was spinning good r&b and old school hip hop. Every dish we got was amazing. Muhammara was nutty and sweet, with a lot of depth. Labneh was simple and fresh. The focaccia for the dips came out cold and was doused in oil- so that could have been much better. The grilled chicken skewers were amazing, perfectly tender. And the lamb dish was very flavorful. Overall, had a lovely experience and would come again.“

Apparently there's a 2 hr gap between brunch and dinner. The booking site allowed for a 4pm reservation. When we arrived we were accommodated but looked at funny. We found out that brunch had ended at 3pm. I was really hoping for the full experience I seen here and paid alot and didn't get it.“

The Martini Jardin was the standout, it perfectly threaded the line between savory ans sweet in a way that’s hard to find in garden martinis. “The atmosphere was classy and inviting, and the food was delicious. My friend and I had the calamari, baked clams, chicken parmesan, and an eggplant dish, and everything was really good.
The cocktails were superb! I hardly ever drink, and mine was just right. The service was also excellent—the waiters were attentive and on point throughout the entire meal.

“Neighborhood gem. Great decor, homey, comfortable but well appointed. I have dined here alone and with family, both times it was a good atmosphere. GM Michael is really good and runs a good staff. The food is delicious- good for all types of diet restrictions. Fresh ingredients well prepared. Last but not least also great cocktails. Host and server were friendly and attentive. “My sister and I celebrated our birthday here over the weekend and it was such a lovely time! The space is super cute and we were able to book out the Mezzanine area as well as order drinks and hang around the bar. Our guests (we had around 35-40 people) were raving about the food and drinks. Brenton and Jordan were super accommodating and flexible in helping us plan the event and the entire team was very welcoming on the day of. The entire process was super smooth and we are so grateful for their help in making our celebration a success. Would definitely recommend and can't wait to visit again!“
