It was made of sheets of chewy meringue loaded with crunchy cashew nuts, alternating with thick layers of “melt-in-your mouth” buttercream. Glad it was not too sweet that I was able to enjoy large servings of this delightful dessert. Great with coffee or tea.“

“This place is wonderful that I stumbled upon it a couple months ago and I have been coming back weekly ever since. I have yet to have a drink I didn’t like here and the same goes for their desserts.

The cinnamon rolls? So sweet and indulgent, they come in packs of two so it’s perfect for those who wanna share an order.

The croissants? Buttery, flaky, everything you want in a croissant is how they make it here. Plus they have different fillings if you don’t want a plain croissant.

The desserts? They are RICH. I can buy one and have it in the fridge for two or three days, all you need is a spoon or two and you’re good to go. Even buying one of the bite sized ones instead is what I tend to do sometimes because all you need is one bite and you’re good. Plus the bite sizes have the different flavors as well, they did some cereal flavors recently and it was AMAZING!

Also the staff are so nice and polite. I have a mom with diabetes who comes here and they constantly warn her if something is too sweet and have her taste her drinks to see what they can add for her. They remember the little things and that makes it easier to converse with them.“

Working with Alison to schedule and have our tasting, which was just down right fun...(because of COVID we had to take our samples home... and she loaded us up with some extras to share with friends) to showing her our vision for the cake on the day of, and then actually SEEING and EATING it at our wedding was perfect all the way through. They really incorporated everything we asked for, and it was simply delicious!!! I ordered my daughter’s 8th birthday cake ( a Calico critters theme)from this bakery and the whole experience was very stress free. I love how they made it feels like I hired a personal baker. They communication and attention to every details exceeded my expectations for a small bakery. My daughter was very happy, not only with the design of the cake but also the taste. She is a very picky eater! Our cake was all chocolate with a chocolate ganache filling and you can just taste the richness and know that it is made with good ingredients. I ordered the super big size which isn’t big to me with the raspberry cheesecake, Reese’s, and deep chocolate gelatos. They were all delicious, but the deep chocolate was by far the best! The deep chocolate gelato was the best chocolate gelato I’ve ever had thus far! Potions are very small so I recommend ordering the largest size. I highly recommend Chillato in Whitestone!“

“Man… this is one of the best businesses in existence. I’ve gotten various cakes from them over the years , and every single time they have been consistently delicious, rich, and exuberant. The tres leches is not too sweet, and the frosting complements the cake as well. It’s overall a very well rounded cake.

The service is spectacular as well — they can prepare an order for you in no time, and will decorate it and ensure that it is beautiful. All the while being as friendly as possible.

And the price, is more than fair.

I usually order their mini shooters and their pistachio tres leches, and/or lotus biscoff 3 milk cakes for my events. “For my daughter's sweet 16, she insisted on a specific cake in a specific color and size. NYC Birthday Cakes made her dream come true! The order process was extremely easy and I was able to provide a swatch so that they could match the color as best as possible. (color matching fondant is not easy - I've made cakes myself but didn't have the time now) We only had 40 people and 4 layers (6:, 8", 10" & 12") would have been too much cake. So, they made the top layer and bottom layer with a cake form instead of cake. The two middle layers were red velvet with cream cheese frosting and the vanilla with chocolate mousse. They were absolutely delicious!! The cake was delivered to the venue on time and as promised. These are truly professionals and I strongly recommend them to anyone looking for a special cake! (FYI - we bought the topper on our own)“
