“Donovan’s Pub is owned by 2 Woodside gentlemen. The staff is amazing friendly welcoming and knowledgeable. The food is absolutely delicious and great portions. They have the Best Burger in NYC. It’s the best burger I have ever had. They have awesome live music every weekend on their brand new stage. Their lineup of musicians is the best around. I’ve been going there for 50+ years and I highly recommend Donovan’s Pub in Woodside NY.“

“The food is amazing! We had the mussels, Brussels sprouts, artichoke hearts, chicken, shepherd’s pie, fish sandwich, and burger. The drinks were wonderful and the ambiance was so much fun. Really had a laugh at the bathroom with all the googly eyes.“

“I went to The Harbor Light with my grandfather who is hard of hearing. I cannot tell you how accommodating the staff was. We originally sat in an area where he was unable to hear well. The owner Bernadette and the server Annie opened up a whole other section in the restaurant for us that was quieter. They were so kind and we enjoyed a lovely lunch. I would definitely recommend this place. They truly care about their patrons. Thank you Harbor Light!“

“Rippers is located in a concession area in rockaway beach so it is a fun, Open atmosphere consist of picnic tables outside under a covered area. I find that the food is very good. Burgers chicken fries. I can just have fries .. I think that they are excellent. They used to sale a whole fish that was divine. There are drinks , wine beer. They often play music and have live entertainment.. they typically close in late summer for winter.“

“The restaurant has a area for sitting if you want to eat and another section if you want to drink at the bar. We had a nice lady who attended us and was quick with our orders. The food was pretty good. The mac and cheese was very cheesy. I thought it was cool they brought the burger with the toppings on the side so it didn’t get soggy and you can add it yourself after. The food is made fresh everyday so I recommend trying it out.“

“This is a great spot to get some delicious wings and cold beers! Watch sports, talk to new people, catch a live band! Make sure you go on Saturday night to see James behind the bar! He's not just great for beers and conversation, He can make any cocktail you want! (Low key date night with ALL the sports??) James (Jimmy) will soon become a familiar friend. “I have been a customer of Austin’s Ale House for many years, I know them well they know me well. This year I decided to give the excellent and highly favored family cooking team a break and had Austin’s Ale House cater our Christmas Dinner. I went with the ham dinner for 10 to feed 7 people🤣. The ordering was done with ease and so was the pick up. The family did a preliminary tasting...... LOVED .IT and whatever we have left after the “taste test” will have to serve as our Christmas Dinner. Since the taste test was so aggressive we may need to supplement what’s left with a few cheese omelets 🤣. We enjoyed it so much there was much talk about it becoming the new family tradition. THANK YOU AUSTIN’S ALE HOUSE AND MEREY CHRISTMAS........ PS I’m going to need one of those backyard igloos in a day or so. See you then 🎄❤️“

Loved this local bar — the vibe was friendly, open, and welcoming from the moment we walked in. The bartender was attentive, prices were decent, and the space was clean with a nice mix of high tables in the back and low tables up front. A handful of locals were gathered around the bar, which added to the charm.
We were really glad to find this spot especially when it started raining on the beach. It was a rainy Friday midday, not busy at all, and we genuinely enjoyed ourselves.
Definitely recommend stopping in for a drink. Looking forward to coming back whenever we’re in the neighborhood!“

“Came here on New Years Eve after my flight to the city was delayed and we spent New Years on a plane. This bar made up for the terrible experience I had been having that night. Both Veronica, and her daughter were the most pleasant bar hosts and patrons. I felt at home, and the vibes were amazing. If I visit again, I'll definitely be spending my money here again.“
“This is one of my favorite place to go. Eileen is very awesome as is the rest of the staff. This is a true gem for a service worker like myself. Monday is my Friday and my friends will walk over here with me and let me get a proper pint or three. Life ain’t so bad when you can sit here for an evening.“
