Dunkin' Donuts in Johnson City

“RECOMMENDED: An Exception to My General Opinion of Dunkin

I am generally not a fan of what the Dunkin brand has become. Years ago, you could smell the donuts cooking before you even entered the restaurant, and the cases were filled with a wide selection of fresh donuts. The modern, streamlined coffee-shop model has never matched the Dunkin Donuts experience I grew up loving.

This particular location, however, is an exception. The store had a genuinely impressive selection of donuts, including my favorite, the French cruller, which has become difficult to find at many other locations. The availability, variety, and overall experience reminded me more of what Dunkin used to be.

I still believe the brand has moved too far away from the fresh donut-shop experience that originally made it special, but this location is doing a pretty good job of keeping some of that tradition alive. If more Dunkin locations operated like this one, my opinion of the brand would be very different.“

The young lady at the counter was friendly and informative and fixed an error in our order right away, no fuss at all. Our drinks and food were great, and I am just about ready to make a road trip back just for another bag of bacon!“
