“Pasta was overcooked. Sauce was sour. Had to ask for grated cheese twice before we got it. Same with water. The restaurant and bar were very busy but no excuse for the disorganization we experienced. Probably won't go back as Buffalo has many Italian restaurants with better food, atmosphere and prices. We went at the high recommendation of friends and were very disappointed.“

“I alway enjoy whatever cocktail I get from Ballyhoo, and my last visit there was no different. One of the best bars in town in my opinion with very reasonably priced drinks and excellent customer service. Not a very large bar space, but definitely worth checking out. They do serve a limited food menu as well, but I have not tried any yet.“

“New management has really elevated the environment and the quality of the food as well. I got the special the mama drew which was chicken cutlet with some vodka sauce on an Italian bread, and the only thing I’d change would be to provide extra sauce on the side and maybe a softer bread. “Everytime I go here the food, drinks and atmosphere are amazing. I figured I’d take the time to finally make a review because last night we had such an awesome interaction with staff. There was a slight miscommunication that led to a delay in food. We were having so much fun that we didn’t even notice, but the staff were apologetic and kind in getting it to us.

“A step below a dive bar, but I didn't go for the ambience. The beef on weck was outstanding. So much so that I went back again the following week. One member of our party felt the same way about the wings. I may never get to try them because it's like going to Grover's and ordering anything other than a cheeseburger. They are so damn good, you can't pass it up. Of course next time I guess I can get the beef on weck and the wings. Both servers were first rate, attentive, personable and professional. And don't get me started with the beer prices or they might decide to raise them..“

“Gordon's runs our favorite teams when they play (Sabres, Bandits, Bills). they have karaoke every week on Wednesday, and trivia on Thursdays. The bartenders are really attentive and pleasant. While the food menu is a bit limited, everything is really tasty (it's rare to find a place where you can have three drinks and ten wings for less than $30). It's my favorite local bar.“

“Now so far I've only had the chicken tenders and fries 🍟. I can day they both were very good . You can tell it was fried in fresh oil . Not greasy and fries perfectly crisp.
The service I'm regretful to say was way too 🐌 slow.
Understandable he's a first time business owner to include a very wonderful person at that . Just opened a couple months ago. I think he will get the hang of things. The service will improve.

“I went to raintree yesterday for the first time and I will definitely be back to try the food! I just went for a few drinks with a friend and I have to say the bartender was so friendly and welcoming. We chatted for a bit and had a few laughs. The people that sat next to us ended up being very sociable and had some great conversations. Its nice to know you can walk into a place and be treated like you been a regular. “Oh man where do I start. Over the years I've had a few really good fish dinners but this one by far was the 'best' ! They say don't judge a book by its cover, well the same goes for the building. Cozy inside and the staff is nice and friendly. I believe the fish dinner was only $14.00 and there was plenty. Hey I just realize something , there was no bread or a roll ! Stuff to have it all. “Very disappointed in the duck soup. I have been eating it for years and the last batch I purchased at the Polish Festival had carrots in it!! Too thick and gray.Must be someone new making it. When I asked about the carrots, they said they've been doing it like that for years. Huh?!“

The music they were playing was not great and probably why they weren't real busy. Might have been a patrons choice but it was downright horrible music and way too loud to carry on a conversation. Everything was served in a timely manner (even with it being very busy) our food was hot and delicious! “Went there before a play for dinner at Shea's Buffalo. This place is on the Chippewa bar strip, so we were not expecting much. Walking inside, it looks like a typical party/cocktail bar, brick walls, long bar, and tables opposite the bar with plastic chairs and Formica tables, so you are sitting in the bar. At 5:30PM on restaurant week before a nearby playing of Hamilton, we were the only diner's there (and only 4 others at the bar). Now the good part.... one of the best meals I have had in a long time!!!!! Waitress/bartender was prompt, attentive and friendly. The special for restaurant week that we had was $35 for soup/salad (I had soup), Duck with asparagus, yams, sprouts and and pie for dessert. This meal was fabulous! Perfect portion and perfect flavor. The caramel/peanut butter pie was luscious! On top of all this, we were there during happy hour, so $3 a beer. I highly recommend trying this place to eat, just don't expect a cozy, intimate atmosphere. You won't be disappoints, and you won't be broke.“

“had a chance to stop in at Lumbejacks patio grill. menu is your usual grill menu - burgers, sandwiches, fish, salads, hot dogs, fries, ice cream. all very good. you order at counter and they will bring you your food. we waited for our order a bit longer than expected. but that was because the place was hoppin'. what impressed me though was the young kitchen cooks and counter staff and how they worked their butts off. the crew was movin' and groovin'. i appreciated their hustle.“

“Honestly, I don't know anything about the current Papa Joe's -- I have lived in New York City for 45 years and haven't even visited Buffalo in 13 years --- but Papa Joe's is important to me because it once belonged to my grandfather, who established a bar there. I don't know exactly when it was established, but it was already in operation in 1910 and he owned it through Prohibition, and passed away in 1935. My father was actually born upstairs - over 100 years ago! The bar has been in operation, under various ownership, for more than 100 years!! That's something, I think! I grew up on Randolph Ave.“

“We had a group of 27 for the Thursday night Bills game. The bar was very accommodating to our large group and Nicole did a fabulous job serving us. I heard nothing but good things from my group regarding the food, service and the viewing experience with all of the tv’s. For most of us, it was our first time there, and we will definitely be back again!“
