“I can't express enough how much I love this place!! The owner, Lydia is such a sweetheart. She's attentive to her customers wants and needs and goes above and beyond with her creative drinks!! Her drinks are made from the heart and taste like no other cafe! The best part? It's all vegan!!! Her place is so good, even non vegans show up for her drinks and baked goods! As a vegan with many allergies, I'm happy to have so many options here! Lydia offers oatmilk as an alternative to soy/coconut/almond and it works out amazingly for me! She also has an AMAZING hot chocolate that has ZERO soy in it! It's so hard to find vegan chocolate without soy or coconut! I can't express enough how magical her drinks are. As some people have said, it's witch craft! Stop wasting your money at Starbucks and support this awesome small business! I also have to say, the employees are so kind and thoughtful. The music selection is great (a lot of pop punk, punk, metal and even Gwen Stefani), and the atmosphere is peaceful. I only get to enjoy LBHC when I’m visiting Buffalo. I so desperately wish LBHC had a location in Los Angeles. Maybe one day! “I’m a flight attendant and I come to Buffalo every so often. Whenever I come into town I visit this place. Excellent customer service, love the atmosphere (even though it can get busy) and the coffee is excellent and fresh! I only come for coffee so I haven’t tried the food but the food and donuts look amazing.

Staff is always friendly and attentive. And the coffee here is very STRONG indeed. The greatest location in the city for people watching, dog petting, and just good vibes in general. God has blessed this establishment in our beloved Elmwood Village.“

“Came here after having a meal next door at Anchi. There was a good amount of people walking in and out of the cafe, so I thought I might as well take a visit. Upon walking in, there's a list of drink options they have the base of milk tea or fruit tea - whether you want a regular tea or smoothie form as well. They also had a few new additions and employee recommendations.Lots of seating and a very chill spot to go with friends. The cafe also had some board games too. They were pretty quick with their service. I certainly see why it's a busy spot for locals here!“

“I think this may be my favorite dinner I've ever visited in Buffalo. We arrived around 2:15 pm, and they close at 3 pm, so clearly they aim more for the breakfast to lunch crowd, because the place was empty except us. They offer little donut bits as appetizers, which was a new one on me. Good stuff, too. Apparently all their food is made on premises, including the donuts. The staff (owners I think?) were super friendly & accommodating. The space is comfortable without being run-down, nice without being stuffy. There's also a covered outdoor area, but it was too muggy out today so we stayed inside where it was cooler. The music was just classic rock, and was very background, to the extent that it doesn't impede a conversation, so basically perfect. Mum got the tuna melt, was very satisfied, and I had the veggie skillet with pepper jack, which was tremendous. When asked what kind of cheese, there were 6 options (cheddar, provolone, and so on), so I said "surprise me" because they all sounded good. She narrowed it down: "white, orange, or weird," so I said, naturally, "weird." Which is how I got the excellent pepper jack (which she picked instead of feta, the other weird option). It was also noted that they're very open to mixing up menu items, and that they try to make the specials relevant to area events, like the Italian sausage being available during the recent Italian festival. Also great, the prices were *so* reasonable: the bill only came to $25 & some change, which means $30 for the two of us, which is a really good price for how good everything was, & the charming atmosphere. The location is a little out of my usual range, but I'll definitely have to make special effort to hit them up again in the future. Love it!“

I tried a couple times thinking maybe the person who prepared couldn’t make good but no! They changed it and today was my last visit to spot coffee!“

“We had biked around a little before settling at Owl Eyes because it was the cosiest spot on the block. We were so hungry we ordered a sandwich each and then couldn't resist getting a third one to share. We both agreed their breakfast sandwich was the best, although the turkey blt and grilled cheese were also delicious. The bread was nice and toasted each time and all three sandwiches were delightfully different. Last but not least their butterbeer latte was tasty and really warmed us up.“

“I recently visited a Tim Hortons and the experience was pretty average. The coffee was okay, but not as fresh as I hoped. It had a slight bitter aftertaste, like it had been hanging around for a while. The donut I ordered was passable, but nothing great—a little dry. The service was also a little slow, even though there weren't many people. The staff didn't seem particularly motivated, and it seemed like they were just doing the minimum. Overall, it wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great either—just average. I expected a little better, especially given Tim Hortons reputation.“
