“I have been a customer of Austin’s Ale House for many years, I know them well they know me well. This year I decided to give the excellent and highly favored family cooking team a break and had Austin’s Ale House cater our Christmas Dinner. I went with the ham dinner for 10 to feed 7 people🤣. The ordering was done with ease and so was the pick up. The family did a preliminary tasting...... LOVED .IT and whatever we have left after the “taste test” will have to serve as our Christmas Dinner. Since the taste test was so aggressive we may need to supplement what’s left with a few cheese omelets 🤣. We enjoyed it so much there was much talk about it becoming the new family tradition. I recently changed work neighborhoods, and this place instantly became my favorite. The bartenders are friendly, the atmosphere is laid back and welcoming, and late nights are full of industry folks, the kind of crowd that makes it feel like a neighborhood spot.

To top it off…the have the NFL ticket (as a Seahawks fan, that’s gold it is nearly impossible to catch a game on this side of the country, but here they’ve got me covered). Great food, great vibe…exactly what you want in a pub.

“I went to The Harbor Light with my grandfather who is hard of hearing. I cannot tell you how accommodating the staff was. We originally sat in an area where he was unable to hear well. The owner Bernadette and the server Annie opened up a whole other section in the restaurant for us that was quieter. They were so kind and we enjoyed a lovely lunch. I would definitely recommend this place. They truly care about their patrons. Thank you Harbor Light!“

“My fiancée and I had to find a venue to host our engagement party in a short period of time and Mugs saved the day! Everyone on their team was super helpful and were an absolute pleasure to work with. They arranged for us to have the back room all to ourselves and even set us up with our own bartender back there, so all our guests could get drinks easily. The food from Rick and Pete's was also very tasty and our guests really enjoyed it.

Their event pricing was very reasonable and the space itself was cozy and laid back. If you're thinking of just grabbing a beer in the hood or planning a large event, I'd definitely recommend Mugs!“

“Rippers is located in a concession area in rockaway beach so it is a fun, Open atmosphere consist of picnic tables outside under a covered area. I find that the food is very good. Burgers chicken fries. I can just have fries .. I think that they are excellent. They used to sale a whole fish that was divine. There are drinks , wine beer. They often play music and have live entertainment.. they typically close in late summer for winter.“

“Been there a few times. I must say food is fantastic!!! The fish tacos and the southwestern chicken sandwich is a must try. They have different specials everyday. Friendly atmosphere, service is very attentive. Love trivia nights and live music on Saturdays. So far is my favorite place to go with friends and family. Great spot for lunch, dinner and weekend brunch. Highly recommended!!“

Vegetables are not fresh & not enough quantity. I had to ask for a good amount of veggies on my burger since the last time I went there all they gave me was a leaf of lettuce (the core!) & 3 strips of onions. Ps Spicy mayo sauce is good“

“I hosted the after party for my wedding at Lavender Lake and it did not disapoint. The space was huge and affordable for a semi private area. They even had a DJ there that night who was so much fun. I highly recommend this space if you need to host a party in the area!“

John and Jim introduced themselves to me. They were born and raised there. I got a ln amazing history lesson of the local area from these great guys.

This place is everything you look for in a local bar.

I'm actually considering buying a place in this area because of how cool the locals are, and they hang out at this awesome place.

“High expectations, but not impressed with this visit. Wednesday early dinner , 7/23/25, 5pm.
No issue with availability and service, very attentive.
Chicken dish with sauce ok, but asparagus flimsy and green bean sized while mashed potatoes served ice cream scoop and lacking in flavor.
Long awaited favorite of mine, fish and chips.
Fish better than most in area, still lacking in wow factor while the (chips) were a flimsy mess , no crisp or seasoning.
As to beer, Stella was fine but Blue Moon dark and flat.
Better luck next time.“

“Great pub, friendly welcome. There were a few tables toward the back set up for food. We had a couple of drinks, the red ale and Red Breast Whiskey went down very nicely. Food was excellent, great service. We would happily return the next time we are in NYC.“

“The place is amazing. The only problem called Eni. All other girls are amazing. Avoid her by any means because she is horrible to her coworkers. Many great people (bartenders left) left because she was mean to them. The place is great for local late night drinks as long as Eni is not working.“

“(Nov 2014) Uber cool high tech mod fitout and no shortage of opinionated beer nerds (complete with obligatory cult brewery t-shirts). Even at 2pm on a Sunday arvo. Doesn’t quite have the warm of a traditional US bar but still pretty friendly. Very international list with a focus on left of centre. Pricing on the high side but reflects the quality of the beers. Served via cabernet glasses - a nice touch. I really grew to like the place and they use a small space well. Can I say it reminds me of Two Row in Melbourne? And....btw....the only other bar I have ever seen where punters are punching out tasting notes!“
