“I have been searching for decent food in Lake Placid and I have been mostly disappointed. If you are a meat and cheese, burger/pizza/deli sandwich kinda person, then this may be your place. The food here is pretty basic. I was in search of a nice salad and soup. The carrot soup was basic but good (certainly not gourmet) but I would get again. The salad (blue cheese pear) was disappointing. I was surprised to find canned pears on the salad instead of fresh. This is a simple salad but it really needs that fresh pear. The salad was clearly thrown together with mass produced ingredients. No prep involved. So I went to the grocery store right next door and realized that for $9.50 I could have purchased the salad ingredients and thrown together at least 2 large salads but it was $12.50 to get one at Simply Gourmet.“
“Stopped in on a whim walking through the town. The maple vanilla cappuccino was delicious. I had the flourless chocolate cake and it was perfectly made. It reminded me of the flourless chocolate cake my aunt used to make. The chocolate mousse cake was also very good. Great service and delicious treats. Highly recommend!“
