The first place my family thinks of when wanting to get an easy take out for dinner. Just sad they don’t have delivery but it’s understandable. Recommend this place for sure!!“

“Chosen island is a fixture. Well so many of the kosher eateries have come and gone over the years, chosen island has been here for the long haul, and hopefully is here to stay. It has a lovely classy ambience. The food is always fresh and delicious. The wait staff is attentive. I highly recommend the Steak Kew and get it done rare/medium rare. But really you can't go wrong with anything. Consistently good food. I've never had a bad experience there. Also, the prices are reasonable. Main courses start in the 25 to 30 range.“

“I’ve been to another Che Li location a few times and visited this location for the first time back in May. The restaurant’s design is always lovely — each dining area is built like a small wooden oriental courtyard, which matches the Zhejiang cuisine theme perfectly.

We ordered quite a lot, and every dish turned out to be enjoyable. The crab roe noodle was especially delicious, better than the version I make at home lol. The soup dumpling were also quite good. Overall, a very refined and satisfying meal.“

“I was there at Jian Nan Syosset, Long Island. Everything went great!! But, those took the orders needed to be more educated to understand each dishes. We were a fairly larger group than standard party size. Some dished were small and some dim sum served with small quantities, like 3 or 4. Those who order for the large group, should give suggestion to order multiple orders for the same dish. So, each one in the group can have at least one.“

“I've been to a lot of hotpot restaurants in the city. BeiJin Hotpot is a very average hotpot place. It's good, but hotpot is always good. Nothing exceptional for the price. The meat was good, maybe if we ordered different types of meat we would've had a better experience. There's nothing wrong with our dinner; we were just a bit disappointed. All in all, for the price range there are better places to go to.“

“I recently visited this establishment for takeout. The kind lady assisted me in selecting which dumplings to order. The staff members were all very pleasant. While I was waiting for my order to be prepared, I was offered some complimentary snacks, which were quite delicious. There was a minor issue with their steamer, which caused a slight delay in my order. The lady apologized and offered me additional snacks to sample. After a few extra minutes, my order was completed, and I brought the food home. The meal was a great success, and my family thoroughly enjoyed every dumpling I had ordered. I certainly plan on returning in the future.“

The skin isn't too thick and the filling is a good ratio to skin. Their pork and chives pan fried dumpling is heavier on five spice than I prefer. It's juicy even at end of day. They make the sticky rice roll fresh. Savory one is pork floss, pickled mustard green and Chinese donut. I didn't get the sweet one but I think it's crushed peanut, Chinese donut and sugar. “I was definitely skeptic and being on a boulevard and the outside but once inside, I was welcome immediately and given recommendations with the upmost attention to detail and customization I have a pork allergy and my nephew had a nut allergy and they were overly accommodating. My nephew also physically disabled and in a wheelchair and they went above and beyond to accommodate us with plenty of space. Dense and large rice roll with some crispy texture in the middle. The meat is thin and tender.

Lots of flavor with pieces of BBQ pork and thin rice roll

Watercress rice roll 7/10
Thin rice roll with lots of watercress but not a ton of flavor.

Curry fish ball w/ rice roll (cheung fun) 7/10

The tea flavor was good but the tapioca bubbles were not the real ones I’m used to, they’re more jelly like. Also there’s plenty of free parking in the back!“

Beef salad was super refreshing. Medium big plate chicken was humongous - super flavorful chicken and the meat was very tender. Potatoes soaked up a bunch of flavor. Qorima lagman was my favorite - perfect noodz texture, stir fried(?) well, and excellent taste. Got a samsa to go which was also tasty and came with nice side sauces. Nawat tea was also nice - refilling the tea is free since you’re given the leaves to steep. Btw staff is also super friendly. All in all loved it and will come back!“

This use to be my go to because their food was GOOD. After last night , my boyfriend and I got mild food poisoning, the kung pao chicken was a fishy brown sauce with no sweet or tangy ( maybe there was just a mistake in the order) and with a $55 order no white rice side, at some point the prices just do not justify the food anymore and this is where I’ve reached my thresh hold.
