“Zhumi is a hidden gem. This small unsuspecting storefront in Whitestone revealed itself to be a welcoming environment for superb homemade Mexican food. I highly suggest the tacos and mulitas done with handmade tortillas. Everything we tried was delicious, down to the flan and horchata. Family operation. Everyone was very kind. Great service. “Second time ordering take-out from here. They’re really friendly and have great service, but it’s not going to become my next favorite unfortunately. Food was okay, ordered cheese birria tacos which I thought would be cheese crusted rather than just some shredded cheese tossed inside.
The birria consome was great though! I think it was missing some salt but when combined with the tacos (as it should be) it was a perfect combination.

The place is small though, not a lot of seating space and the space that is available is a bit tight, so that ruins a bit of the atmosphere for me. But, for takeout nearby, I think it’s in the right neighborhood and deserves its round of applause.“

“My friend nd I wanted Birria tacos so we found this restaurant off of TikTok. I stood in the car while he got the food but when he came back with the food he had a huge smile on his face. He said the costumer service was amazing and the lady that served him (I’m not sure of her name but she was an older lady) was very nice to him. She even gave us an extra free water. Not to mention the birria tacos were unbelievably delicious!! It was packed with the birria meat and the consume to go with it was so yummy. Amazing food and 10/10 experience.“

“Love this hole in the wall Cafe. The worker's are pleasant and the food is superb! I never spend more than $30 for two here. Their grilled chicken in a burrito and in a bowl is to die for. Great food and great service all across the board. I can order from here at least 3-4 times a week; breakfast, lunch, and or dinner. You will never be disappointed.“

My boyfriend and I are regulars and have never had any complaints. A nice and easy atmosphere for grab and go, even at late hours. The workers are always welcoming and genuine. Manju is such an inviting worker with a kind smile and sweet greeting every time we walk in. Highly recommend adobo for filling but healthy meals.“

“I visited with my wife and the service was quick and great, Anastasia patiently answered all of our questions! We got food off of their Vegan Menu which featured staples like Cauliflower and Tofu.
