“Was in the area and looked up Breweries near by and happened to stop in during Oktoberfest. Such a fun day with playing corn hole and a band. The food and beer were fantastic!”
“Dave and I just had 2 absolutely amazing dinners! Rice bowl and Burnt tips sandwich and corn bread muffins.Quality and flavors were incredible and we have enough leftovers for lunch. I would highly recommend them to anyone, it sure does pay off to eat and shop local.”
“I was supposed to come here with a friend but he's sick so it's a good thing I like dining solo just fine. I went right after they opened and there were several tables there already. Maybe Solar Eclipse traffic??? I was greeted right away-from across the room actually. I think it was the manager because he made the rounds to the tables asking how everything was later on. I started off with a lemon sour. Delicious. Never had one but if you're looking for a sweet drink this ain't it. It was on special. I was delivered bread with honey butter, pickles and hummus. I thought that was weird but it was actually so good on the bread. I had a piece of Italian bread, some onion bread and probably focaccia. The bread plate was insane-I could have just had bread there and been happy. I ordered a wood fired pizza. I mean that's in the name so that's what I got. It was pretty good. The sauce is on the spicy side. Just enough heat to wake up your tastebuds but not so uncomfortable that your mouth is on fire. I heard the table next to me also was talking about the spice of one of their dishes and talking about their nose running when things are spicy...same girl, same. And my nose was a little runny. I wish the pepperoni had been cup and char but that may have put that pizza over the top with having such a robust sauce. I did indulge in dessert. Against my better judgement because I full! But luckily my dessert stomach stepped her ass up to the plate and took one for the team. I do not think the dessert selection is that fantastic. I think every dessert has some chocolate in it except for the crème brûlée so if you're not a chocolate person, there's not a whole lot to choose from. I really wanted the coconut cake, but that had chocolate ganache on it, and the oatmeal cake just sounded unappealing so I passed on those. The crème brûlée was really good. My server was really good. I can't complain. It's a good place to eat-worth the drive and I liked the atmosphere. I found it to be a little drafty though and I noticed others keeping their coats on. I didn't have a coat so I was a bit chilly the whole meal. Good drink selection, not many appetizers though not that you'll need them. They encourage plate sharing. The pizzas are quite big especially for one!!”
“On our way back to the Cleveland area this past summer, we stopped by chance in this sweet, charming place. It's general store is filled with nostalgia, hard to find candy and unusual soft drinks and t-shirts among other things. Best was the cheeseburger on a hard roll with the best hot sauce ever. Apparently it won as the best hot sauce in the Rochester area out of over 400 contestants. Lovely owner too. We'll be back!”
“The most adorable chic cafe with delicious food and a lovely cozy atmosphere! My husband and I love coming here as a special treat together.Dietary restrictions: Lots of gluten free options”
“So this is the peanut butter and jelly burger. Lots of bacon, burger cooked to perfection. It's a unique flavor. Everybody should try one. I'm pretty sure you'll either love it or I hate it, I don't think there's any in between. If you're looking for a restaurant where the food is a little outside the norm, this is your place. First time there, great weight staff definitely plan on going back. Cozy and comfy and not rushed.”
“We loved this little coffee shop! We stopped here on our way to see the solar eclipse. We ordered 6 different food items and drinks and everything was super yummy!! Highly recommend “2 egg Sammie” with bacon! ??The coffee was outstanding. The employees were very warm and friendly. 5 stars all around!”
“We went on a busy Thursday night when there was a band playing, but that didn’t stop the great service. The atmosphere, service, and the food were amazing. We even got a sweet treat on the way out! Recommend this place!”
“It has definitely changed since they first opened. The atmosphere is very nice, the location is excellent and the food is great! It's definitely pricier than when I first visited. Expect a larger tab than most places nearby.”
“Great, friendly service, including other patrons being friendly! Food has gone home cooked vibe including a wide range of choices for all meals and eaters. The atmosphere is a bit outdated but every corner is clean. This is a great local spot to stop for a hearty meal or light snack while you plan your busy day visiting the rich history of Avon or choosing your one of many local nature attractions. Try to make at the Avon Historian next door to the left. Everytime I visit I enjoy myself and learn a little more from the very engaging Historian!Kid-friendliness: Great family atmosphere for all ages!”
“Best ciders ever! Best staff ever! Welcoming, fun, just an awesome place to go enjoy your time. Like Cheers, but waaaay better.Seriously, the ciders are absolutely amazing, flavors you'd never associate. My current favorite is Blueberry Cheesecake, but all are incredible.”
“An absolute gem! The ribs slid off the bone with a sauce that's liquid gold. The wings, the sandwiches... it was all delicious. The owners make you feel like family. We will be back!!”
“This place is a local legend. I had the occasion to try it finally and I can see why. Friendly service, generous portions, reasonable wait time. I ordered a steak sub that was prepared just right - fixings were perfect, steak well-seasoned and juicy. Luckily they had an open table where I could hang out and enjoy my edible work of art! I thought the office was also on par and reasonable as well. I'll be back for sure.”
“My husband and I love Tyson's and go weekly for date night. The food is great and there is always something fun going on for entertainment. Whether it is live music, karaoke, trivia, or wing night we always have a great time. Lima is lucky to have a fun place to unwind.”
“My husband and I happened upon a small bag of Jamaican Me Happy at a winery during a visit to NY- it was love at first cup…first sniff, really haha. Since then, I’ve had to get my fix by ordering online. TWICE now, these lovely humans have upsized items in our online order, and thrown in amazing bonuses as well!! Few things in this world are better than large quantities of high quality, delicious coffee!! It’s worth the out of state shipping cost when we receive our “happy mail”.Thanks Evening Star! You know we’ll be back!!”
“Exactly what a small town bakery should be! The owners are passionate about their business and that says it all! All of the employees are warm and friendly the baked good are AMAZING..the coffee is always fresh and delicious and they even have bubble tea with real tapioca pearls!”
“These beers are amazing. They recently started giving away beer labels to customers, and I emailed them (because I do not live in NY) and they mailed me some of the labels. Top notch customer service. This is a brand that knows what they are doing. A simple gesture that costs them nothing but makes me a fan forever.”
“Came in for the first time after hearing good things. It didn’t disappoint. Food quality and service are what you would hope for from a local sub shop/deli but don’t always get. Seeing Boershead in the case is always a good sign. The staff really cares about serving food that you love. We’ll go again, often.”
“Great old style hamburger joint. Full of color and positive energy. Food menu was full of choices to satisfy every tastebud. The original and walhburger are still my favorites. Before you go make sure to check out the great coupon offers (simple Google search) you will happy at what you find. The meat sauce has its own special taste, not too hot and not too sweet, just the perfect blend of flavor to add to your burger or dip your fries into.”
“Vanilla Lane's gluten free cookies and cakes are the best in Rochester! Incredibly decorated cakes that taste amazing! The bakery is beautiful and clean. Lucky to have this bakery in our community!Dietary restrictions: The BEST gluten free baked goods!Kid-friendliness: My kids love the dunkers during the holidays! Cut out cookies that you dunk in frosting, so fun and yummy!”
“We love going to Strange Design and sitting at the bar. There is great artwork to look at all over and so many great beers to choose from. Had the chicken sandwich tonight and it was delicious! And Adam is always so friendly. We look forward to seeing him when we go.”
“Nothing bad to say about this place, the food is great, prices are even better and the waitresses are top notch, I love the fact that they give you your check right away, you dont have to wait for it... Would recommend this place for breakfast especially..”
“This experience was the best especially when I mentioned it was going to be a surprise for my fiancee birthday. He was so surprised. I had an idea and she ran with it did a great job doing so. I would definitely use her ”
“A must stop if you are in the area. Interior was bright and welcoming. Scott and Joan took the time to talk to everyone. Mary Ann was so friendly and gracious. The tasting was generous in compare to others. The chicken bacon wrap was delicious. Will definitely be going back. Looking to forward to sitting out by the fire next to the pond. Please don’t get rid of the Holiday wine!!”
“We stopped at Puppy’s on our way through town because we thought they might be dog-friendly— we were right. It may not be an official policy, but the staff was very accommodating getting us set up outside with our pup. Great food, better people. So glad we visited!”
“My husband and I are soooo glad we stopped here. Tripadvisor reviews showed this place has great service; and they were not wrong. Great service, with personable staff - which makes a place all worth it! The food was really good as well. I do recommend the burgers (as mine was cooked perfectly to my liking). Overall, I'm thrilled with this little pub and would stop here again and again were I in the area. And really, chat up the hosts...such great ppl!”
“Well worth the trip to this bakery in the country. Absolutely the biggest maple donuts you've ever seen! They also have fresh honey, fudge, bread, other baked goods, and homemade soap on occasion. Well worth the trip!Keep in mind that holidays can affect when they are open.”
“Was in the area for the first time and looked up nearby breweries. My husband and I each tried a flight and there wasn’t a single beer we didn’t like from IPA, Sour, and a dark beer. Tried the nachos which were great. The brewery itself has a small upper deck, a fantastic picnic table area that is shaded and tons of grassy area. Hoping to get back this way again in the summer and will definitely visit.”
“This has quickly become our favorite local bar. All the girls who work there are great, friendly and willing to make us our unique drinks we enjoy (rock on Tennessee Mules!!!). The chicken wing night on Thursdays is awesome. Food is great, the wings and sauces are amazing. I highly recommend the Turtle Stone.”
“Great Small town diner. We felt like regulars even tho it was our first visit. Although as a Plant Based eater, there's not much for me, the choices for everyone else were plentiful, generous and enjoyed. A real Gem!”
