“Wings, pizza and subs are awesome ? can't go wrong here. Busy at lunch but call ahead and have great specials. I get our pizzas uncut as it's a long way with take out. “Very accommodating!! We were on vacation and showed up at 1:30 and they close at 2:00. We asked if we could come in for lunch and they greeted us warmly. Service and food were very good. Thank you!!!”

“Easily one of the best handmade ice creams I’ve ever been privileged to enjoy! Flavors are all on rotation so nothing is guaranteed but maple walnut, banana cream pie, cotton candy and blueberry granola were all also delicious. But the apple pie flavor (only available around the 4th of July) is something special! ? so good we went back twice.”

“This was our first time visiting Cosmic Charlie Cafe. We were looking for something different than the typical “chain” options and the minute we arrived we knew we were in a different but inviting spot. It reminded me of visiting a friend’s house in that the menu is a starting place but they are happy to make those items any way you want them. The food is excellent as a result. The atmosphere is very laid back and friendly. Highly recommended.”

“Great, friendly service, including other patrons being friendly! Food has gone home cooked vibe including a wide range of choices for all meals and eaters. The atmosphere is a bit outdated but every corner is clean. This is a great local spot to stop for a hearty meal or light snack while you plan your busy day visiting the rich history of Avon or choosing your one of many local nature attractions. Try to make at the Avon Historian next door to the left. Everytime I visit I enjoy myself and learn a little more from the very engaging Historian!Kid-friendliness: Great family atmosphere for all ages!”

“Tom Wahl's has been a family happy place since we moved to Fingerlakes, NY in the mid 90's! The food is always exactly consistent so it is easy to have a personal favorite. The homemade root beer is not comparable! I only like root beer from Tom Whal's. Nothing short of a family favorite, and now couple favorite with our youngest being 28. Tom Wahl's is a community center in the form of free summer concerts.”

“This place is a local legend. I had the occasion to try it finally and I can see why. Friendly service, generous portions, reasonable wait time. I ordered a steak sub that was prepared just right - fixings were perfect, steak well-seasoned and juicy. Luckily they had an open table where I could hang out and enjoy my edible work of art! I thought the office was also on par and reasonable as well. I'll be back for sure.”

“This restaurant has the best food I've ever had! The pasta is homemade and delicious! The shrimp alfredo is absolutely the best I've ever had! Everything is homemade from the pasta, bread and the salad dressing. The portions are generous and the prices are really good. Definitely a must try if you like fresh homemade pasta. The servers are quick, friendly and on top of the orders. Worth the money and drive!Vegetarian options: The chef will accommodate! If you're not vegan,try the Alfredo sauce! “Exactly what a small town bakery should be! The owners are passionate about their business and that says it all! All of the employees are warm and friendly the baked good are AMAZING..the coffee is always fresh and delicious and they even have bubble tea with real tapioca pearls!”

“A quaint and lovely winery where you will be made to feel like family! Scott is a passionate wine maker and will tell you a lot about the wineries process which is rare for a casual wine tasting visit. The winery has decent reds and also had delicious holiday dessert wine!”

“Stopped by because I was in need of coffee. Ordered Carmel Honey Cold Brewed coffee. The Barista took my mug to make the drink. She nicely said she had never made it in a travel mug and was wondering if she made it right. I tasted it . Wow!!! She did a fantastic job. Very friendly, pleasant atmosphere. I can't wait to go back and enjoy something else.”

“My nephew who goes to Geneseo took me here for a slice. The pizza was solid. Thin crust with decent sauce. The place looks like an old NYC pizza place with brick walls and high ceilings and darkly lit. The staff were college age kids. The only reason I give the service 3 stars is we ordered three pepperoni one cheese and they gave us three cheese one pepperoni. Wasn't a big deal but I really wanted to try both cheese and pepperoni. Next time I go I will get the pepperoni. Bathroom was clean and the atmosphere of the place was chill. Overall definitely recommend if you like thin crust David Portnoy style pizza.”

“My husband and I are soooo glad we stopped here. Tripadvisor reviews showed this place has great service; and they were not wrong. Great service, with personable staff - which makes a place all worth it! The food was really good as well. I do recommend the burgers (as mine was cooked perfectly to my liking). Overall, I'm thrilled with this little pub and would stop here again and again were I in the area. And really, chat up the hosts...such great ppl!”

“Soup AND Salad WITH Bread, in addition to your meal ... in one word, YUM! Upon entry, we felt like we were stepping into a different dimension and simpler times. Candlelit tables and dim sconces on the walls provided a warm, inviting vibe. Surprisingly, the server who greeted us knew us by name and warmly welcomed us to the National Hotel. Our server was knowledgeable, friendly and had a great sense of humor. The meal was coursed out perfectly and we enjoyed every bite. Stuffed mushrooms to start were piping hot and flavorful in a ramekin of butter. The hottest thing in Cuylerville was the freshly baked bread-in-a-bag! Perfect to get every morsel of mushroom soup out of our bowls. Usually you have to choose between soup OR salad, not here! We got a fresh greens garden salad following the soup! Our main entrées of steak were perfectly cooked to temp and tasted great with the red wine. The mashed potatoes were fluffy, flavorful and satisfying. Peanut butter and chocolate pie brought our experience to a close. To wrap up the evening, we got to thank the chef and her husband for an amazing dining experience. This is one of a kind gem and we look forward to our next visit. Bring a loved one, go for a special date night or just stop in to treat yourself. You will not be disappointed.”

“Jeanette is the best bartender. She is very knowledgeable about beers, makes recommendations, gives you samples to try. He has a pleasant, attractive personality. I ordered the 40,000 acres which is a very hoopy beer. It has body, hints of fruit, at least that's what I perceived. Lots of body, lots of vibrant notes. I liked the place. Ample street parking. They have a menu to order from other restaurants. But they have chips and cheese stick.I loved it, it's safe and friendly.”

“Although I am not in need of gluten-free food I stopped and I'm so glad I did. The owner was so friendly as well as the customers. A real positive energy! The food was delicious! I had a cheese bagel sandwich with egg and bacon. My latte was perfect and just the way I asked, strong. The owner was training a new employee and was so kind and positive to her, other bosses should take lessons from her.”

“Family owned and run by staff that make feel like family, this restaurant has always been a pleasure for me. If I am getting together with friends in this area, it is my first choice. With traditional fare along with American selections, there is something for every palate. A full bar is available, but I love their margaritas, available on the rocks or as a slushy. The staff is very friendly and attentive. There is plenty of parking at their new location. The interior is clean and colorful. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.”
