“Their empanadas are HUGE! The chicken empanada was the tastiest I have ever had and inexpensive. Its 1.50 for a massive empanada- see how large it is relative to my thumb!
The service was really nice too and the shop is warm and cozy with delicious smells.
Im already craving more…..“
“Kudos to employee "PEDRO".... He is my go to person when I am ordering my food. He is friendly and always greet you with a smile. And he always make sure my order is correct and to my liking. The food is very good and is reasonably priced. Keep up the good work Pedro.

“Gorgeous ambiance! They have lovely decor and you can tell that they had a great interior designer. Service was great. Our waitress Manuela was really nice and very knowledgeable about the menu and was kind enough to provide several suggestions. All staff were very professional and helpful. Drinks were very tasty, especially the “electríco!”. I loved the presentation. The chicharron tapas were the best chicharron I ever had—perfectly crispy, juicy and tender without being dry or too fatty. The garlic shrimp saffron tapa with the tostones were amazing—I’d come back just for that. As for the mains—the chicken was good, a little overpriced in my opinion, as it was regular chicken with no special marinade and was a little dry. I asked for my steak to be medium well but it was definitely under, and was red, chewy and a little tough with no seasoning. The saving grace was the delicious chimichurri sauce it came with and the yummy shisito peppers. Overall, I still recommend and plan to come back. Next time I plan on trying more tapas and possibly the whole fried fish entree! Check this place out.“

“After surfing through a few results that had mixed reviews, I landed on this spot in Williamsburg. Solid amount of stars and reviews (you can also tell a lot about a place that has a nice website, duh) intrigued me so I clicked through. Sorted through the photos of the food and they definitely had the steak I was looking for but I needed to confirm a few other things - do they require reservations? When are they serving dinner? Is this place a hole-in-the-wall (I don't mind holes-in-the-wall, just wasn't what I was looking that afternoon)? I double check their Yelp page and the site and I was glad to see that no reservations are required and dinner was starting at 5 - cocktails and empanadas were available until 5 came around. They have a nice dining room/bar area with a nice little dining area in the back, and also outdoors in the front. I wanted to be inside that day considering the high temps due to the humidity.
I finally get to the spot, and I say finally because I had to go back to 14th St Manhattan and connect from there to get to Williamsburg, 23 mins before they start to serve dinner. When I walked in I felt a very intimate yet lively latin vibe - it was dimly lit and there was good music being played at a comfortable volume. I don't like it when I'm dining out and the server and I have to compete over the music to hear each other so these guys definitely had it right. I would definitely bring a date here. I was greeted by the bartender and let him know I wanted to grab a solo seat for dinner. He asked if I had a reservation, which I thought was a little odd and led me to believe Yelp and the website wasn't up-to-date but when I replied no, he said it was no issue. He told me to grab a seat anywhere I liked so I sat at the bar and he advised me that they won't start serving dinner until 5 o'clock as I mentioned previously. After I got myself situated, I excused myself to the bathroom to wash up. I took note of the back dining area which was really nice. The bathroom was clean and it looks like they take care of it on the regular so those are more points in my book. I got back to my seat and the bartender pours me a glass of water and leaves a bottle at the table. I should've asked if they had sparkling and opted for that. The tap-water is just way too warm, but it was what it was. I didn't opt for any other drinks, considering I don't drink sodas or alcohol. Bartender handed me a menu which confused me for a bit because it seemed like it was drink menu - it was smaller than size than a normal menu. I'm browsing through and noticed at the bottom of the menu, besides their wifi network and password, they only take cash and American Express. Odd but maybe that's a NY restaurant thing? I double-checked that with the bartender and he said they have an ATM in the back in case I needed it. Turns out I had enough cash on hand and continue looking over the menu. I get to the entrees and I find the Churrasco and I let the bartender I wanted that medium. I should've asked him if they could throw an over-easy egg on top.
About 15-20 minutes later, one of the BEST steaks I ever had was served. The presentation was amazing! The steak was cooked to perfection - nice and tender and the color was just right. It came with a side of chimichurri which unlike other ones I've had, wasn't too salty. As you can see in the photo I took, the steak also came with a side of greens and these potatoes that were like no other, crispy on the outside and perfectly baked on the inside.
All-in-all I would definitely come back to Tabaré and I'm willing to bet everything else on their menu is just as out-of-this-world as this steak!“

“I went to Tozton today to celebrate my birthday after seeing an ad on Tiktok and it was definitely a great decision.
The food was delicious, the sautéed loin, the green noodles, the pavilion, the ground beef cakes and the shredded meat cakes. Natural juices, drinks like margaritas and mojitos; on point, ten out of ten.
The attention of all the waitresses was excellent, they even decorated my table with balloons. Thank you Emily and Natalia for your impeccable service.
It was also easy to find parking near the restaurant. It is very spacious and tables can be organized for large birthday celebrations.
Totally recommended in Astoria.“

“Excelente sazón y CONSISTENCIA en la misma quizás uno de los mejores restaurantes de comida ecuatoriana en los últimos 3 años en la ciudad de New York . Lugar muy limpio, espacioso , baños impecables, amplio estacionamiento y el sabor de la comida es realmente auténtico , lo único q podría mejorar es la atención un poco caótica y desorganizada pero en general todos los meseros son amables, vayan por ahí no se arrepentirán!“

“I had two wonderful experiences at Mojo in August 2025, and both visits were nothing short of excellent.
On Saturday, August 23rd, 2025, I stopped by to ask if I could place an order in advance. One of the hosts, Emily, kindly explained that it wasn’t possible but shared a very helpful tip: the restaurant tends to be busy on Fridays and Saturdays due to Forest Hills Stadium concert events, while Mondays through Thursdays are much less crowded. She also patiently walked me through the vegetarian and vegan options, even pointing out which vegetarian dishes could be made vegan. Her thoughtful explanation convinced me to plan my visit for a weekday instead of the weekend.
On Tuesday, August 26th, 2025, I returned and was served by Delaney, who was incredibly friendly and energetic. She even asked whether I wanted my dishes served together or separately. Since I wanted to take a photo for my Google Maps review, I asked for both dishes to be served at the same time. I ordered the black bean burger (made vegan) and the Mojo vegan ceviche, along with a side salad instead of fries. When it came time to pay, Delaney helpfully explained that the tip was already included in the payment system, ensuring full transparency. I really appreciated that level of honesty and clear communication.
As for the food—absolutely delicious. Everything was fresh, beautifully prepared, and exactly how I requested for my vegan diet. Mojo is now my top recommendation for anyone looking for vegetarian or vegan options in a warm, welcoming environment.
If you love good food, great service, and a place that truly values its customers, Mojo is a must-visit.“

“Stepping in to Guarapo transported me back to my times living Miami. The food was a blend of Puerto Rican, Colombian, and Mexican food, taking the best from each place and turning it into their own. We tried the shrimp soup and oxtail dish which was perfect. Oxtail was succulent and soft and the tostones that comes with the soup was probably the best I've had. Definitely worth checking out. Nora was great!“

“I had lunch there a couple of weeks ago. The food is really very tasty and has a typically Paraguayan flavor. I don't know how they do it but they do it. I returned the next day to bring some typical and gluten-free products, as well as empanadas. 10 out of 10. It is easily accessible, as it is halfway between Manhattan and Flushing on subway line 7, at the 46th Street-Bliss stop, and from there no more than 300 meters along Greenpoint Av.
The place is cozy and well decorated, and the service is excellent. The icing on the cake is that they now offer very good craft beer from their own brand.

“A Must-Visit Latin Fusion Experience!
From the moment you walk into Arriba Latin Fusion, you’re greeted with a warm, homely atmosphere that sets the tone for an incredible dining experience. The service is top-notch—kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, making you feel like a valued guest.
Now, let’s talk about the food—simply amazing! Each dish bursts with authentic flavors and creative twists. The Truffle Yuca Fries are crispy perfection, with the earthy aroma of truffle taking them to the next level. The Chicharron Picado is a flavor explosion, rich and perfectly seasoned. And those Ropa Vieja Sliders? Absolutely divine, combining tender, savory beef with the perfect soft bun.
The entrées are just as impressive. The Ropa Vieja is tender and packed with flavor, a true homage to this classic dish. The Arroz con Pollo is comforting and full of rich spices, and the Salmon a la Brasa is grilled to perfection—moist, flavorful, and melt-in-your-mouth good.
To top it off, the desserts are a sweet finale. The Flan is silky smooth with a delightful caramel glaze, while the Tres Leches cake is moist, decadent, and absolutely irresistible.
And don’t even get me started on the drinks—they are on point! Perfectly crafted to complement the food, they elevate the entire dining experience.
Arriba Latin Fusion is more than just a meal; it’s a culinary journey. I can't recommend it enough!“

“Great authentic cuisine that brings a little bit of Bolivia to the United States. The saltenas are absolutely amazing. The shell was cooked to perfection while the inside was a treat of flavors that was heavenly. The Silpancho had such great flavor. So authentic with the Carne lightly breaded and seasoned with the flavorful Zarza and a beet, carrot and vegetable salsa that complimented the egg and potato. Highly recommend to anyone that wants to experience a little part of Bolivia here in Queens, New York.“

“A Delightful Evening at María Mulata
My wife and I recently had the pleasure of dining at María Mulata, and it was an experience to remember. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by Ashley, whose exceptional service made us feel right at home. Her attentiveness and friendly demeanor truly set the tone for the evening.
We started with a bottle of wine, pleasantly surprised to find it cost less than what was listed on the menu—a delightful bonus! The highlight of our meal was undoubtedly the rice, which was out of this world. Each bite was a burst of flavor, perfectly complementing our main dishes.
The ambiance of María Mulata is charming, with a cozy yet vibrant atmosphere that captures the essence of Colombia. The combination of delicious food, excellent service, and a welcoming environment made our dinner truly special. We can’t wait to return and relive this fantastic experience!“

“I didn’t stay to eat in the establishment due to a waiting hungry teen at home lol however the food is EXCELLENT. Full plates, thoroughly cooked and juicy chicken, rice is ON point and I love me some black beans and sauce. Good home cooking and the price point was super affordable and top tier packaging. It was to go and not one drop was spilled on the ride home. Can’t beat it with two fresh cans of soda. Atmosphere was cool laidback and clean. Neat presentation and no flies. I’m so grateful because the food kept me full and I caught the itis lol 😆… all in all great food and I was not paid to give this review. “We went there for the first time yesterday. Pros: The food was amazing. Loved every bite. I think the Colombian soup was my favorite but honestly everything was delicious. I am a picky eater and I ate everything. The drinks were simply divine. Hats off to the bartender. Just Wow! The server (Borjas) was equally exceptional. He only had 4 days on the job but executed like a pro. He was also funny and just kind. Just one con: The suited host that took a bit to greet us at the door was off. He also sat us at the very front of the restaurant. Mind you it was practically empty and never really filled up. I think that this was due to the holiday weekend. Anyway, he did not give us an option like another host did for a later couple. I also noted in my reservation that this was my fiancé's birthday and requested if anything special could be done. There was no choice of table and no candle in the cake. Usually how many other restaurants would have handled. Anyways, I will definitely go back due to the food, drinks and server but will hope for a better host.“
