The place was so beautiful and the staff was so friendly and welcoming I also love the atmosphere and ambience it has a dine in option,
However I just came in for takeout.
The food is made to order and they ask what level of spice would you like. Which is what I love the most,
The portions are great enough to feed 2/ people,
I also like the fact that they make everything fresh and it doesn’t take long for the food to be cooked.
I was so impressed with this restaurant that I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR ANY TIME OF THE DAY!!!!

The guacamole was fresh and flavorful they put the perfect amount of lime, my fave. The fish sandwich was flavorful and crispy. The rice and beans were perfect. I'll be back again and again. Worth every dime. They where fast and the food came out hot and fresh. Service was nice and the atmosphere was chill. It a small spot nothing fancy but the quality is on point. Thank you !!!

“My friend and I - both longtime lovers of Asian cuisine - were originally headed to another spot for lunch, but it was closed for a break until 5 PM. Hungry Monster was nearby, so we decided to give it a try - and we’re so glad we did!
Though the restaurant is small, it’s incredibly cozy and comfortable, with a mix of four-person tables and bar-style seating with stools. When we arrived, there were only a couple of teenagers sipping smoothies, so we practically had the place to ourselves. That meant we got the full attention of our wonderful waiter, Biscuit, who was very attentive and made us feel well cared for from start to finish.
We both ordered their signature dish package - I chose the soup-based seafood package, and my friend ordered the beef version. Each dish came served in a small cauldron, full of different ingredients and rich flavor. The portions were generous, so I ended up taking half of mine home. As a nice touch, they packed my leftovers in a high-quality branded bag with the restaurant’s name, which I really appreciated.
We ended our meal with drinks - mine was a refreshing grapefruit and lemon green tea, and my friend had a Mango Tea Yakult, which was fruity, creamy, and perfectly balanced.
The ambiance added to the experience. The decor combines traditional Asian elements with anime-style art, even on the bathroom door! It was fun, vibrant, and gave the place a unique personality. Pleasant background music played throughout the meal - it was noticeable enough to enhance the atmosphere but soft enough not to interfere with conversation.
Some practical notes:
• They offer delivery, and you can get a 10% discount on takeout if you pay in cash.
• They’re open every day.
• The only downside is parking - limited spots in front of the restaurant and no obvious public parking nearby. You can risk parking in the nearby plaza, but there are tow warnings posted. Thankfully, we didn’t have any trouble.
All in all, we had a wonderful lunch at Hungry Monster. The food was fantastic, the service was top-notch, and the whole experience felt welcoming and personal. We’ve been to many Asian restaurants before, and this one stood out in the best way.

He was pleasant, professional, and had a great sense of humor. Right off the back I was pleased. The environment gave me classy, but a chilled vibe. I had the shrimp with grits with creole sauce. It was very delicious. I was not a fan of the creole sauce but only because that's not my thing. I just wanted to try it. The shrimp and potatoes that came with it were amazing! With a glass of mimosa (my first mimosa). My daughter enjoyed her food and so did my husband. Over all, the experience we had was a 10. And, trust, I can be picky, so this says a lot coming from me. “We ended up here because there was a two hour wait next door at Buoy Bar. It is great atmosphere- lively on the water. It is interesting service, you order and they bring the food to your table. “This is not Deoksugung Palace, but has been changed to a raw fish restaurant. We went to Wassada Hoepocha for lunch, and the two of us ordered a large portion of assorted raw fish and ate a lot. If you go to other places, they serve a lot of sukidashi, but the sashimi is served in 4 pieces of each type on top of something like a stone, and they use dry ice to create an optical illusion, but here, the sukidashi is served simply, but the sashimi is really steamed and served in abundance. The salmon is eaten with red pepper paste and wasabi sauce, the tuna is wrapped in seaweed and dipped in oil sauce, and the flounder is eaten with ssam sauce, so it's really delicious. The sashimi was so plentiful and fresh that I thanked the chef and he really impressed me. The owner served me very kindly, so I enjoyed my meal. Oh, and after you finish eating all the raw fish, spicy spicy spicy stew is served in an earthen pot, so make sure to save some. There is a $20 difference between the medium size and the large size, so I ordered a large size to try to eat as much raw fish as I could, but I ended up getting so full that I ended up packing the rest. This is enough for two people to eat together. I think I will eat it generously. Sea Story was $200 for 4 people a few years ago, but it seems to have gone up now. This is a place where 4 people can fill their stomachs with sashimi for half the price. I highly recommend it to those who are serious about sukidashi.“

“We were a party of 11 people and the service wasn’t good. The waiters were not friendly. They gave us a very small basket of bread for a table of 11 people, and their tables are huge. I asked for another one and they took forever to bring it. I guess they don’t care because their tip is already included in the check. And I usually tip 20 to 25%, but not this time. It’s a nice place, the food is okay, but won’t be visiting again because of the service. You don’t feel welcome as soon as you come in.“
