“Hole in the wall restaurant; a great find if you live, work, or gym in the area. The food was freshly made and tasted great. The only downside was the wait was long for our order (smoothies and breakfeast) and it was on the more expensive side considering the order but overall, phenomenal.“

“I had a construction project in the neighborhood so i decided to try some Dominican food. I chose the right place; food was delicious. Even the girls didn't speak much English but they try their best to communicate with me.
Bathroom was extremely CLEAN !
I recommend this place to eat your lunch.

“My first time I ate from gustito was was Sunday January 6th about 3 days after it opened. I had a sandwich called “ Riky” it was amazing . Although I’m from the Dominican Republic I never had it. Today Sunday January 13th I ordered a shrimp mofongo , Salmon and chicharrones de pollos, all a hit. Gustito will definitively be a favorite Restaurant in sleepy hallow . Best of luck to the chef Ramon Rodriguez owner and Lourdes Rodriguez.“

“The food here is decent but it depends what you order. The empanadas were on the smaller side and were cold. The beef one was good but the chicken one was dry. The chicken stew was good and they gave me a lot of it. The portion sizes and the way the food is cooked always varies and it’s never the same which is disappointing. For two empanadas and a chicken stew platter with rice and beans, it came out to $26, which I thought was a little expensive.“

“Ordered the family meal with bistec encebollado which my family loved, the white rice could have been better, there was a staple on the bottom of the rice, I am to assume they were grappling and one flew to the tin, not a big deal the family loved the food.
I ordered a mofongo de cerdo, it was not the best; the pork had rib pieces (which I have never had pork like this with mofongo) and the meat was
burnt beyond being edible, I wish the mofongo was more garlicky, the sauce was yummy but again the burnt pieces of pork was somewhat disappointing. If you are a monfingo enthusiast, please do not get your hopes up.
I ordered for delivery.“

Empanadas were on point! crisp, not greasy and a real treat. Food and owners were cool guys, definitely will return to check out the menu.“

“I recommend the pork feet stew that’s the dish I like here. The mother and daughter duo I think they are the owners are very nice especially the daughter. The only thing I dislike is when I get a salty portion of the dish and I don’t expect it I end up not eating cause I get diarrhea when it’s too salty. So I hope and pray when I stop by they have them pork feet stew. The pork feet stew is perfectly seasoned. I don’t know why I like it a lot. It has cilantros and taste great with plain white rice and I ask for extra gravy. For a small plate $6, medium $10 and large $12. The price is very fair and good Dominican food.“
“Let me start by saying the new ownership has been amazing! i work across the street and almost everyday for lunch this is where i go and the food is always a 10/10. the staff is always friendly and inviting and no matter what you are craving just know you will definitely have a great meal. if you were having second thoughts on stopping by dont, i promise you will not be disappointed! i would recommend trying their rice and beans with pernil its one of my go-to's“

“The Parrot Restaurant in Yonkers is one of the best Spanish restaurants in the area. They offer amazing family meals at unbelievable prices. Unlike others, their food is incredibly fresh. For example, even the white rice tastes like it was made the same day. The beans are very well-seasoned, and when you order the bean stew, you'll be pleasantly surprised to find carrots and potatoes—ingredients often overlooked at many Spanish restaurants.
Their empanadas are made to order, meaning they don't sit under a heat lamp; they are freshly prepared when you order them. The freshness and quality of their food are truly unmatched. Additionally, the variety of dishes they offer ensures that there is something for everyone, whether you are a meat lover or a vegetarian.
All in all, this is definitely a go-to spot for good quality food at great prices. Last but not least, the staff is wonderful, including the guys who do the deliveries. They are always friendly, prompt, and ensure that your food arrives hot and fresh. I wish them all the best and will definitely make this my regular place for Spanish food at least a few times a month.“

“I have been at least 5 times. I love eatting rice, salad, beans, and plantains. I have only had the buffet. The food is good and they arrange it nice on a plate and bring it to your table. Many of the employees don't speak English, but we both try really hard and end up at the right place. My boyfriend says "i don't know what they do to the pork, but it is one of the best I have ever tasted."“

Came in and had tres golpes for the first time. Had no idea what to expect but the woman who helped me was kind and worked with my broken Spanish. They sell the tres golpes as “desayuno Hispano” and it comes in 2 sizes, small and large. The small was plenty of food and only cost $8. Probably the best value breakfast I’ve had years. I’ve got a big appetite and this plate filled me up. The small plate came with one piece each of fried queso, longanisa, and egg, which were all not incredibly hot, but that’s to be expected from precooked stuff in a steam tray. The mashed plantains were excellent and steaming hot. The pickled onions gave crunch and acidity that added some textural balance. I’m sure that fresh fried sausage, cheese and egg make a world of difference, but again, for $8 cash, this was an incredible value. The inside was very clean and well lit. They have a huge assortment of Caribbean Hispanic food in steam trays, all of it looked and smelled excellent. The señora who helped me out was very nice. I also got a coco rico for $1, which is way less than the $3.50 I paid for one in Manhattan when I first tried it. Maybe I got ripped off that time. I will be back for the breakfast, and to try some other things. If you’re at the Castle Hill 6 station, please stop by.“

“La comida es buena, tienen buen Parqueo, pero el servicio de las camareras es pésimo, pero horrible, parece como si no le pagaran, como si uno va fiado, siempre aburrirás, pocos atentas, paran encompichadas como si estuvieran en un patio de RD, y eso que la RD se caracteriza por su gente. Mejoren eso por favor, que es un buen negocio.“

“This is my go to spot on ubereats. The chicken chunks are so so good, the best I've had. And the rice is delicious. The pernil is also perfectly cookedOther restaurants spanish food is usually hard or chewy but this is the best I've had. Yesterday 1/27 I spent $75 on ubereats and half of my order was missing and the restaurant acknowledged the error. Uber refused to give me a refund. Angel was so nice and offered to give me the missing food the next day or another day. Frank handled the situation and paid for me to get the missing food. That is customer service!“

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Leo’s Deli in Glen Cove is absolutely phenomenal. From the warm greeting at the door to the incredible hospitality, Leo and his family always make you feel welcome and cared for. On October 2, 2025, Leo graciously hosted the very first Women Veterans Only Listening Forum, and he went above and beyond in providing a phenomenal menu of our choice.
We enjoyed a full dish of pork, rice and peas, sweet plantains, jambalaya rice, and other delicious offerings — every guest raved about the food, especially the jambalaya rice and pork. Everything was flavorful, plentiful, and served with genuine heart.
But what makes Leo’s truly special is Leo himself. No matter how busy the day, he always makes sure I eat well — and eat healthy. His kindness, along with his wonderful family (including his son), shines through in everything they do.
Leo, thank you for taking the time to listen to women veterans’ issues and for leaning in, responding, and helping us rebuild — starting with the nourishment of a wholesome meal. You have my deepest gratitude for your generosity and your heart.“

“First time trying their breakfast dishes here and I ordered mashed plantain called mangu with pickled onions, chicharron/fried pork and fried mozzarella cheese. I also tried the fruit orange drink with milk forgot the names. Will come back to try their lunch options. Only thing I hate about going here is the difficulty finding a parking spot. Not easy lol“
