“Great little local ice cream shop! We stopped in on an unseasonably hot October day to get cones. Rainbow sherbet and chocolate chocolate chip both hit the spot.Good value for the cones and the ice cream was good. One thing I wish they had would be tables or benches.Kid-friendliness: A very kid friendly establishment, although there’s no customer bathroom inside or seating.“
“One of the best wedding vendors we worked with was Chef Mike at Pure Sugar Inc. From start to finish, he was an absolute pleasure to work with and made all of our wedding cake dreams come true!!! Starting with our cake tasting at Pure Sugar, Chef Mike set up such a wonderful experience for us and each flavor we tried was better than the next! It was nearly impossible to decide. He allowed us to include multiple flavors in our cake which I was thrilled about. When it came time for our wedding, he completely outdid himself. When we asked for a certain ruffle technique to be used on our cake, he went out of his way to practice and make sure that it was exactly what we wanted, and it was!! We got SO many compliments on how stunning the cake was and then on how delicious it was. We have been to so many weddings where the cake is just blah, or no one eats it, etc. People went out of their way to eat this cake because of what a show stopper it was and because of everyone talking about it! My favorite was the lemon blueberry! Thank you Pure Sugar!!!“

He made suggestions for best results before serving and offered to decorate the cake further for us.The cake was as I remembered and I was transported back to my childhood and savoured each mouthful.Carvel has my heart!“

“HOLY COW! What a cake they made me for my mom’s surprise 60th Elvis Presley themed birthday party! The staff and cake decorator really know how to put a cake together. From the flavors, colors, sayings, and designs!!! YOU MUST check out sweet karma desserts if you’re ever on the island. I was amazed when I walked in there, but then when I opened my own cake!!! WWWOOOWWW. Only issue I had was the birthday girl wanted the car TAKE HOME ?? but it got eaten at the party. So I had to call back to hope and pray the cake decorator wouldn’t mind making one more pink Cadillac rice crispy car with incredible fondant work.This bakery MADE my party and I couldn’t thank them more. “Stopped in today for some dessert after a quick, casual dinner in town. Lots of choices of cookies, pastries and cakes.We ordered a Yellow cake with chocolate frosting that was very good. They also offered to customize a message on the cake.Fresh and the icing was not too sweet.Friendly service, Clean.We would stop by again when craving some fresh baked cake, YUM.“
“This was my second visit to this adorable shop. The displays are always filled with delightful treats and an amazing variety. Last time, we sampled one of each of their macarons. Perfection. From the feet on the macarons to the light but flavorful fillings, we knew we had to return for more treats. This visit the macaron shelf was filled with small individual cakes. We could not resist. We tried the carrot cake and red velvet cakes and I opted for a black and white cookie as well. Service was fast and the ladies at this shop are very amicable. I appreciate and value good service and this location is top notch. The store is clean and they have a drink station also. We will most definitely be coming back again. I just have to try the spritz cookies. I would like to perhaps get an assortment to try one of each.“

“Best bakery I have found in years. A dying breed in the city, and a jewel on the island. Friendly, engaging staff and a wonderful fragrance greet you upon entering. Large variety of delicious cakes, pastries, cookies and rolls. All tied up in a box with that same string. Most delicious black and white cookies I have tasted. “Went here with my daughter for a rainy day cappuccino. The original place we wanted to go to had an open yet. Spiga Bakery is cute and stylish. It's a bakery (with loaves made in house) and sells real bakery goods, and even pizza. Would definitely return there. I only wish I had real cups and saucers rather than just to-go cups. The lack of ceramic cups gave the bakery a fast food feel, but would still revisit the location.“
“Vins is a great mom and pop bakery owned by the same family that owned the best ever bakery. A few years back, the son vin took over and vamped it up a little.They offer some delicious cakes, pasties, and baked goods. The seven layer and mouse cakes are our favorite.They also have some great coffee at a nice price.They have monthly specials that feature certain cakes, loafs, and coffee.Everyone who works here is super nice and helpful.Overall, it's a nice wholesome bakery to try if you're in the area.“
