“Food is excellent every time however the portion sizes are ridiculous. If you’re charging $17 for a bowl I expect more than half a spoon of rice. The workers behind the counter are almost always oblivious and are not usually friendly. It’s a shame since the food is so good and this can easily be a 5 star spot.“
“Amazing experience with new flavors and textures! Service is top notch and the waiters are very attentive to your needs and the overall customer service. First time coming here by recommendation and will definitely be coming here frequently!“
“Very nice place, comfortable seating. Ordered the schnitzel which was good but different than I expected so I'd get something else next time. Definitely would go backVegetarian options: Some vegetarian choices, gluten free choicesDietary restrictions: Gluten free optionsKid-friendliness: High chairs and made us comfortable with little one even though it was high end, not catered to kids“
“Went to Blue Waters on a Saturday night. Definitely suggest making a reservation which we had because it is tight but cozy. Food was delicious. We had the Greek salad, branzino and salmon. baklava for dessert. Drinks were yummy too! Only negative was music a little too loud.“
“Overall, dining at this mom and pops vibe Turkish restaurant/grocery was a delightful experience from start to finish. I would highly recommend it to anyone in search of authentic Turkish cuisine served with a side of warmth and hospitality. Everyone was friendly. I can't wait to return and try more of their delicious offerings.“
“I’ve been ordering from this place since they’ve opened. I’ve lost count of the times Ive ordered, they are literally my go to over any other place in Lynbrook. Always consistent, always fresh and always clean. I love these guys! I wish this business years of success. We need you around! ?“
“My son & ordered breakfast sandwiches to be picked up and the service was very sweet and prompt! My son said his sandwich (the one with mushrooms) was "amazing!" I got the egg white wrap which was also delicious- very fresh with a perfect balance of ingredients. And the coffee was really good too!“
“What a nice restaurant!! The service was great! The chef was out and spoke with us for a while and accommodated our off the menu request. We had Kubideh, a ground meat kebab with yogurt sauce which was delicious and Barg, a steak kebab. The very best dish however was the Zeresh Polo--a saffron rice with barberries--so good, with fragrant saffron and sweet/sour barberries. We also had a delicious baklava for dessert. My husband said the coffee was excellent. Will definitely go back!!“
“Excellent experience from start to finish! Tomas was so friendly and was willing to answer all of our questions, doing so thoughtfully and patiently. The food and drink were all wonderful! A table of 5 people with 3 shared appetizers, our own entrees, and two desserts and everyone could only speak positively! We'll definitely be back!“
“This establishment is truly wonderful; the food was not only delicious but also served promptly. The young lady at the front desk welcomed us warmly and was incredibly courteous throughout our visit. Moreover, the owner took the time to personally connect with us, ensuring that everything met our expectations. Our experience was nothing short of awesome. Every aspect of our visit, from the delicious food to the attentive service, made for a memorable time. Will visit again and recommend it to others as well.“
“For me, consistency is a major factor when it comes to choosing where to eat. Gyrolicious is consistently serving up some of the best Greek food I've had outside of Astoria, and the staff is always very welcoming. The portions are very generous, and never lack in flavor. You can tell they really take pride in serving their customers and the quality of the food they put out. Absolutely recommend!“
“Had the bacalao fritters as an appetizer. They had small shards of bone in them. We each pulled bones out of our mouths. My friend ordered the cod named after restaurant. Had bones. No where in menu does it tell you that their plate is BONE IN. Made meal unpleasant.I had lamb chops. I must say they were thinnest lamb chops ever anywhere. Usually they’re 3 double chops in every place I’ve had them. Here they’re 4 single chops so thin you can’t get them medium rare as I ordered. I’d say go but ask lots of questions.“
“My husband, and I, had food delivered, from this superb restaurant. The large Greek salad, which we shared, was very fresh, and delicious. It had grape leaves, chopped Romaine, cucumbers, lots of large chunks of feta cheese, red onions, and tomatoes. We had two protein add-ons, falafel balls, and salmon. The salmon was cooked to perfection, juicy, and a delight to eat.The falafel balls were the best that I have ever had.In fact, whenever we order this restaurant’s falafel sandwiches, the falafels are mouth-watering good, and the sandwiches are chock full of lettuce, tomatoes, tahini, and hummus. The chef, and owner, take great pride in what is offered to the public. The restaurant aims to please, and it always, consistently succeeds. My husband and I are vegetarians, and we often order the lentil soup.It is a vegan broth of savory vegetables.Everything we have sampled from “ The Greek Cove”, in Long Beach, has been wonderful.Delivery is always on time, with Grubhub, or with Uber Eats.I have only praise for the high professionalism, of the owner, and the chef, and the quality of food, that is prepared, so well.“
“Haven't been here in a while. Had heard not as good recently. Had been frequent visitors here. Decided to try on Friday. Everything was fantastic. Service spot on. Food delicious and plentiful. Prices seemed a tad higher, but not outrageous. Will return.“
“I had to take my cat to the vet in the area and stopped by Greek Xpress twice and the blonde woman with glasses who works there or maybe owns the place is so kind and caring and provides great service. I also love all the gluten free options.“
“Of all the Greek restaurants I've ever eaten, this was the one that suited my taste the best. It wasn't too salty or spicy, but it had enough flavor of Greek food. The interior was luxurious and the service was very good. A perfect place to have dinner with good people.“
“I was so excited to find a good shawarma place. I had the chicken shawarma salad with brown rice. It with a white sauce and spicy red sauce. Both were tasty. The food was great. The service was very friendly. The ambience is cute. It is small and there are a few tables to sit at. The shawarma is Georgian (country) style shawarma which was a delicious style.“
“This location has a special place in my heart. 1988, I just came back from being stationed overseas and my girl friend (now my wife) says lets have Falafel for lunch. What's Falafel? Back then, the restaurant was called The Promised Land and it was the first time I took a bite of Falafel. Now, I was hooked! Strange that I never had nor heard of Falafel growing up in Brooklyn. Working in NYC was when I saw the different Falafel styles and was introduced to Einat Admonys version at Taim. I was a total fan of her Falafel. And to me, she gets points because she served in the IDF as well as being in Season 3 of Guy Fieri's Tournament of Champions? Shabbat Shalom sister with a fist bump. Which takes me to 2024, Taim Mediterranean Kitchen in Plainview. Walking in just floods me with so many memories. The counterperson says if I join the Taim rewards I can save on my first order so download the app. 1988 doesn't have anything on 2024! Once I downloaded the app, I ordered something simple, The O.G. Falafel Pita made with Harissa (for a little kick) I sit down to a nice, clean location. Brightly colored tables and a jug with some delicious looking lemonade. (Too sugary for me in 2024) My meal is ready. I like the fact that there is both Hummus and Tahini sauce inside the pita. It was a nice sandwich, the pita texture to me was a little off. It was too thick compared to what I'm used to at other falafel joints. Just for a moment, I had lunch back in time. Them I checked my app for the meal credit, I jumped in my Electric Car and headed home. Chicken Shawarma is calling me, I'll be back. (80s reference)“
“So i googled gyros by my work just to try something new and found this spot. I drove there and then realized it’s a gas station lol ohhhh but can looks be deceiving i walked in and was already negatively set but i said screw it im here. This was one of the best beef gyro sandwiche and fries I've had in a very long time. Honestly delicious meat was tender fries crispy and the 2 sauces they put on fire… Definitely will recommend it to anyone the gyro wasn’t huge it was on the smaller side but flavor made up for that. Insane how some small hidden gas station shop can great such an amazing gyro definitely check it out i got the gyro was with lettuce tomato cabbage and pickles sound strange for a gyro but it just works… Will 100% be going back……$15 dollars well spent honestly..“
“Been going here since i was alittle baby . Their traditional food is amazing and must try. They have my favorite desert ever there called galatoubodiko. Its like a thick flan with philo dough and hkney and cinnamon syrupt on it. My.other favorites are aphadite greek salad, spinakopita and avolemeno soup.“
“Loved Azerbaijan Grill. It is a distinct establishment, operating independently and specializing in Mediterranean cuisine. It is recognized for its exceptional chargrilled kebabs and an array of traditional dishes, reflecting the rich culinary traditions of the Mediterranean and Middle East. The menu shines with its variety, including stews, dips, and vegetarian options such as mousakka and assorted vegetable plates, making it a favored choice for those in pursuit of authentic tastes. The ambiance of Azerbaijan Grill is designed to be comfortably casual, focusing on delivering a high-quality dining experience that emphasizes the flavors and authenticity of the food rather than the decoration. This commitment to quality and authenticity makes Azerbaijan Grill a must-visit for enthusiasts of Mediterranean cuisine. Please note, Azerbaijan Grill and Sufiya’s Mediterranean Grill in East Meadow are separate entities and should not be confused with one another. Each restaurant offers its own unique take on Mediterranean and Middle Eastern dishes, contributing to the rich culinary landscape of the area.“
“Overall we had a really nice time and the food was good. The waitress we had was fantastic and super attentive and nice. I was a bit disappointed in the wine selection and the fact that they didn't have any wine available on a Friday was odd.“
“Ever since I found this place, its the ONLY place around work I’ll go to for lunch. I once had something pop up immediately after picking up my greek salad there, and only had a chance to eat 7 hours later, after it had turned into a soggy mess. You know what: IT STILL BANGED! Deeply loyal, 10/10, two thumbs up, enthusiastically recommend“
“Easily the best Mediterranean restaurant in the area. For that matter on all of Long Island! Spectacular food in a cozy, clean setting. Served by the loveliest family at a reasonable price. When you give Shish Kabob Grill a try you will have no regrets! (5*) Oh! I almost forgot…municipal parking is close by. ?“
“I've been really wanting to check out this place, and it did not disappoint. I opted for the Chicken Kebab, which included grilled chicken chunks and seasoned chicken breast on skewers, served with rice and a side salad with a tasty dressing. The service was excellent too. I'd totally suggest giving this place a try.“
“So delicious!!!! Came here for my son's bday and the food was amazing. I saw the waitress deliver a cake to another table with a sparkler. I was allowed to bring in my own cake due to food allergies and I asked the waitress if she can put a sparkler on my cake too. They did and my son loved it!!! He said the steak was one of the best he ever tasted!!!“
“This is a favorite stop on our way back from northern Queens. The staff is unusually pleasant and the food is quite generous. I'd like to see another meat offering such as lamb, as I find their meatballs to be rather hard. A good vibe and an attractive eating area, also a plus. Enthusiastically recommended.“
“Since I’ve moved back from Berlin I’ve been scouring the island for the best chicken schwarma/kebab/sandwich/pita, whatever you want to call it. This place was hands down the best I’ve had. The only thing that would make it better was if they had fried halloumi to put in it, but I’ve yet to find a place in the US that does this so it’s no biggie. They don’t usually put hummus in it, but he did for me which I really appreciated. The salad they put on it had a very light oil based dressing that added an awesome taste to it. I was honestly blown away by how good it was. It’s a simple meal/concept, but the majority of places I’ve been to are incredibly subpar, as I am pretty picky. This is my new spot from now on.“
“Food is great as usual. I used to go to the Naya in Midtown Manhattan but since working remote, I just don’t want to go to Manhattan anymore. Now I get the convenience of a sizable parking lot in Roosevelt Field mall, grab a quick Naya lunch and relax before heading back to work (I don’t mind the drive and taking the break). The garlic whip is the best. I wish they still had beef kebabs but the lamb/beef meatballs are good and chicken shawarma is now my choice. Delicious hummus too.“
“Beautiful restaurant in the Hilton Hotel on Route 110. I like the atmosphere and they burn insence and have flickering lights on the walls. Friendly staff. I don’t like really spicy food as this place is an Asian fusion of Indian, Chinese and Thai food. The best food is the Hot and Sour Soup with chicken. 10/10 in taste, flavor and quality. I ate here with my friend almost everyday and got take out as well. The spring rolls are ok, the pad Thai noddles are delicious, steamed dumplings are great. Fried rice with chicken is outstanding. Bit pricey for a soda at $5 each.“
“Have been meaning to try this place since moving to the area, made the move tonight, and happy to report it did not disappoint! Chicken gyro was delicious, the man behind the counter was nice and very thankful for the business. It's tough to find a quick spot to get to after 7p with a city office commute back in my life, this will easily make it into my rotation. Will note pricing on here is definitely outdated, but it's not bad at all and definitely worth trying!“
“A favorite local Greek eatery. Great portions. Reliable quality. Clean place. From gyro to plates, side salad and soup, everything has flavor and isnt skimpy.Tender chicken kebab, delicious salad dressing with real olive (not some lame oil and vinegar).Lunch menu is a great offering that gives you options for multiple flavors to sample. Recommended.“
“One of my go-to restaurants, this establishment is renowned for its exceptional cuisine and impressive menu options. The ambiance is equally impressive, with beautiful decor throughout and immaculate cleanliness, including spotless bathrooms. The staff and waiters are warm and welcoming, making every visit a pleasure. Whether I'm in the mood for something classic or adventurous, the diverse menu always has something to satisfy my cravings.“
“Went here for lunch. I Haven't been in a while. Group decided to go here. I was pleasantly surprised. The Greek salad was great and the filet Mignon kebab were very tender. The atmosphere was nice and the wait staff was very attentive. Overall a great experience...“
“Each time I go to Yiasou Yeeros, it's the same. I'm greeted heartily and I'm given fabulous food! I've ordered almost everything on the menu over the years. There isn't anything I haven't liked! Sometimes I've eaten there; sometimes I have had take-out. The service is impeccable in both cases. Everyone I took there agrees: it's a special place!“
“My family very much enjoyed the food, service, and casual atmosphere. Our favorite dish, hands-down, was the octopus appetizer. It was light and flavorful, just like a similar dish we ate in Mykonos this past summer. The gyro and dips (taramasalata and tzatziki) were as good as any you'll find in the ti-state area. The one disappointment was the moussaka, which I found greasy and flavorless. The service was friendly and helpful. We were on a bit of a time crunch, and they took care of us in time. Highly recommend.“
“Delicious clean (not greasy and fatty) food with tons of flavor and generous portions. Soup was delish, salad and kebab and hummus all wonderful. Pleasant staff. Will be back when in the neighborhood !Vegetarian options: Great variety for the four legged animal eating adverse.“
“If you haven't eaten here you owe it to yourself to make plans to get down here. Fresh, fresh and tasty sides and your choice of proteins. Mine grilled meatballs. Very nice. Lots of comfortable seating, take out and catering. Lots of space for enjoying w your friends. They will think you're smart when you meet them hereDon't walk out the door without baklava. Fresh w beautiful honey to highlight the pistachio.“
“Good food, good service and reasonable prices make this place a true gem. The food is always fresh and delicious and if you have a hungry, young adult athlete to feed, there are combination platters on the menu that will fill that kid up. I always leave Sufiya's feeling happy that I chose to dine there and I've never been disappointed.“
