“Authentic, delicious, Italian cuisine...like a fancy version of Sundays and holidays growing up. Danny's sauce recipe is printed on a flour sack in a frame on the wall (very close to Mom's) so those of us who cook can savor the taste at home. Everything our party of 4 ordered exceeded expectations and was served up by friendly, knowledgeable staff. The Veal Danny and eggplant in particular....so, so good. Chocolate cake with pistachio cream and a fine cup of coffee to end the meal....now that's perfection!“

“Stellar evening even though our reservations were for the bar and it was not the best seating due to being by the kitchen door. The food was delicious, well presented, and plentiful. The cocktails were smooth and prepared right in front of you. For the exceptional quality food you need a table the bar became a crowded scene while we were trying to enjoy our dinner.“

“My husband and I have been going to Pennel's ever since we were dating in 1963. This is our every family occasion celebration restaurant. Birthdays, anniversaries, even before holiday gatherings are held at Pennell's. It has been a part of our family tradition for over 60 years, and I just know our children will continue it for years to come. Great meals and memories! Thank you Pennell's.“

“Stopped in for dinner with my wife and daughter and decided to try the Chicken Parm — my favorite meal but one that often disappoints. Not this time. It was perfect: just the right thickness, crisp breading, smothered in mozzarella, and topped with a sauce that had a great garlic flavor. Easily one of the best I’ve had anywhere. I snagged a bite of my wife’s prime rib and that was excellent too. Service was quick, the staff was friendly, and the bread with garlic oil before the meal was a nice touch. No starter salad, but the generous portions made up for it. If you’re a Chicken Parm fan, this spot is absolutely worth the stop!“

“We had a dinner and had Neighborhood Kitchen cater, even though it was a small group of 5. We had gluten free menu and everything was absolutely delicious! The staff was very helpful in deciding the menu options. We have ordered food in the past and we will definitely do so in the future. Great food and wonderful service!“

“I have been customer for at least 15/20 years 2 weeks ago got 2 subs very disappointed no meat on them today thought we try sausage bread specified peppers and onions also got mushrooms and wings start to eat it..ok no peppers and onions on it tried to let that go but....ok raw dough??? no way call them an wanted to give me 3/4$ credit??? are you serious after all business we have done owner should be aware of issues!! 45.00 order took taste right away“

“worst experience ever. orderd a pizza i usually go too the one in burnt hills on my way to work. the night of July 2 2025 they lied stole and told me id recieve anything order after the first was an hour late. 30 minutes after that the ego trip manager yelled argued called names and never repaid after promised. blaming me for a worker he said worked there 4 years. it was sent by them not me I guess Uber. The girl lied the manager yelled telling me im a liar after my first order was an hour late and cold. Never refunded just called names.Id never order from a place who even considers treating a person the way they did. they just didt want to come back out or refund. He just yelled at was my fault after my hour late delivery was cold and said we dont go there as of now. we will not correct your order. burnt hills they treat you so well. like family. I have many pizza places near me I loved giving them business but never ballston spa. never again. he hung up as he was got caught in a lie. if you don't do delivery howd I get my first cold hour late one ? He ends it with if our pizzas so good come get it like its crap pizza lol. hell of a manager“

“After my Grandmother's internment, we needed a place central to our family's whereabouts. I chose VP&R and we even started trickling in early, they were so accommodating. The food & drink was not only prompt but it was so fresh and good. a few of us had been there before, but the ones who hadn't were satisfied. 10/10 and thank you, from the Downs/Schermerhorn families!“
