“My best friend, her daughter and I stopped here for a late-ish breakfast today on our way back to Putnam County this morning. We had never been before and this came up while searching for a breakfast spot. Jeanie Bean's certainly lived up to the charming name! Sweet place, really nice, helpful staff. Our order was pancakes, chicken tenders (no, actually cutlets!!) with really great well done fries, and a BLTurkey which I requested on rye. I didn't ask but I am pretty sure that Rye was homemade. Very fresh and thick cut. Many other homemade baked goods blessed the counter, which we sadly didn't try. The teenager drank a monster energy drink while us adults split a can of Arizona iced tea. There is a little set up to help yourselves to silverware/napkins, salt/pep, sauces/ketchup and there are a couple beverage coolers with several options. There is a little coffee bar area and although I didn't get a good look I'm sure there was the option for hot tea as well. I am not quite sure where the int'l inspo comes from (perhaps the family has a British background?) but there are some interesting English teas/treats in the little gift shop area near the front half of the store. Seemed like there were some handmade things, and many cute gifts. The teen and I played a couple rounds on the little wooden tic tac toe game that was on the table. The food was great, atmosphere was fun and friendly. You order up front, grab your table and they call your name and bring out your order. 10/10 would recommend if you happen to be up in the Country! Oh, p.s. there is also an English inspired phone box outside labeled the BOOK BOX full of books to grab / exchange!“

“Three years ago, we moved from New York to Texas and I still forever miss Ritchie’s! Growing up in the small town of Amenia, my husband and I always loved grabbing a good breakfast sandwich or an easy lunch there. The hard rolls and bagels are something you just can’t find in Houston. It’s become a running joke that you’re only allowed to visit us in Texas if you bring a dozen rolls & bagels with you 😂 So incredibly thankful for the friends and family who fuel our obsession. “Workers are friendly and personable, even when I showed up 10min before they closed they were still able to make a chicken cutlet sandwich (most delis I’ve come across shut off their grill or fryer much sooner). It is one of the best chicken cutlet sandwich I’ve had in awhile. Prices are great too. I used to go to Florys on 82 but now that deli is trash, this is my new go to place for the area“

“We (about 10 to 16) come on the third Tuesday of each month. We are treated like honored guests, deli staff usually Kathy wait on us taking our orders and delivering them at the same time. Staff is upbeat and cheerful. Orders are prompt and correct, food tastes excellent. Don't hesitate to come here!!“

“I recommend this particular deli because it is very convenient especially if there is no time to eat at a restaurant and you are at the mercy of whether a gas station has hot,pre-made sandwiches ready to go. I always come here when visiting my home community of Dutchess County from Albany, NY. Most important, they are friendly because I have no tolerance for inconsiderate customer service. They listen to my environmental beliefs by not giving me items in a plastic bag or they promptly take it out of the bag while reusing the perfectly fresh bag for another customer. It would drive me NUTS if they threw away a bag for no reason“

“Called in a takeout order, picked up the order in less than 10 minutes. Staff was super courteous, friendly, and the establishment was super clean. I highly recommend a chicken cutlet sandwich on a hero with; mayo, lettuce, bacon and red onion. It’s literally the sandwich of the Gods, & created by a legend named Diogo. I highly recommend this delicatessen if you are starving and/or driving thru this one horse town called, Amenia. Fresco is great for a quick delicious bite or a hearty sandwich.
