New American Restaurants in Montauk, NY

“This was our second visit to Sel Rrose - we had the most fantastic meal here on our last visit to Montauk. It will always be on our agenda because we love the vibe! Think "Manhattan meets Montauk." The space is beautiful and summery and draws a cool-looking crowd.

We knew that there were some issues with the food this year, and we could see that the menu was a bit limited, so we stayed at the bar and just ordered appetizers and cocktails. Everything was delicious. We had a great time.

Sel Rrose did not disappoint and we will definitely be back next year!“

“The food is mind-blowingly good, service is amazing, and atmosphere has a distinctive charm to it. I fell in love with this place (and their FOOD) and would absolutely drive 3h just to eat there again.

The Lamborghinis are art. I forgot what type of cheese they add, but it tasted heavenly. Fish tacos 🌮 are an absolute bomb. And the breaded fish 🥹 chef’s kiss 🤌🏻

Be sure to request an outside table when you make your reservation.
You'll get your food fast because almost all dishes, except steaks & salads, are made in advance and there is a feeling that they are eager to turn over the table.
The seafood choices are limited and none of them are local.
We had salmon, swordfish, and mussels. Each of which was very good, except for the limp & soggy waffle fries piled on top of the mussels (ask for a loaf of bread).
Also be aware they have mandatory valet parking.“

“Amazing hotel in Montauk with such a great staff. The rooms have such comfortable linen, balconies and porches look over the lake and the dining area. The lights at night give a romantic beach aesthetic. The restaurant and bar on property are excellent for the whole night, delicious food and drinks. The entire property is a perfect beach night out.“

“The atmosphere is seaside casual. An open floor plan exists with a nice bar on one side. It’s airy inside with high ceilings. The food and service is always great. The specials are always a delight. Prices are moderate and fair. Portions are generous.“
