“I recently stopped into Nicky’s Pizza & Deli in Montebello, NY, and wow—what a memorable visit from start to finish. The moment I walked in, the guys behind the counter greeted me like an old friend, practically welcoming me in with open arms.

I ordered their Parmesan pie and a BBQ chicken slice, while my friend went for a piping-hot Sicilian and a chicken-bacon slice. Every bite was fantastic—hot, fresh, and packed with flavor. The Parmesan pie had that perfect cheesy crisp, the BBQ chicken slice was savory and satisfying, the Sicilian arrived steaming and soft, and the chicken bacon slice was a hearty, flavorful one-two punch.

What truly stood out was their service—they made me feel like family, not just a customer. And props where they’re due: even the bathroom was clean and well-maintained, which is huge for a casual spot like this.

“I Sent my friend a Johnny's pizza for his 70th birthday last week. Unbeknownst to me, my friend was in the hospital during that time. I called Johnny's and advised them of this and they very graciously Sent a free pizza, celebrating my friends healthy return home. My old friend just finished the pizza, and shared it was delicious. “Had Tagliata (steak) with mushrooms and spaghetti w/clam sauce. SOOOO GOOD! Clams tasted fresh; spaghetti was delightfully Al Dente. Steak was cooked medium rare, tender, and delicious, and the mushrooms were bursting with flavor. Waitress Ersa gave us great recommendations and was professional and courteous. Can’t wait to come back and try more dishes!“

The location is great but there are only a few tables for sitting at and really most people take out from there. “We have ordered from Frank's numerous times with no issues. Tonight, driver arrived with 2 items missing and instead of leaving the items he had, took them with him....cold when he returned. Must have thought he was an Indy car driver on the way back because all the sauce for the mussels was gone, box was saturated. When questioned, he checked and said Ooops, sorry, and left. Called and spoke with the Manager who seemed less than Customer Service concerned although did offer another order of mussels. Unfortunately, with the fear of sabotage on the replacement due to complaining, we declined. Should have offered some kind of refund. As a Client Svc Mgr this is an unacceptable response to a dissatisfied client. We will not be ordering from Frank's again. I guess they have enough clients to not care about EVERY client. Shame!“

“Our school football team was visiting Waldwick HS yesterday. I called Mangia as it was the closest high school. The owner Freddie answered the phone. He was so helpful! He even gave me his personal cell number. We ordered 14 pies to be delivered to the parking lot to feed all our JV Football players and cheer leaders. “I've been coming here for about 20 years and came back here recently for a visit.
I think the crust of the pizza used to be better. With toppings, the pizza becomes soggy very easily and the crust is less crispy than I remember.
It's best if you order plain cheese or white pizza, so the base doesn't become soggy and the crust remains crispy.“

As a family of native New Yorkers, we'd like to think we all know good pizza here at our house. We've been all over for good pizza, but this place has always been our at home go-to place to order from. Our grandparents ordered here for years before we moved locally and started ordering ourselves about three years ago - at least 6 or 7 years of happy customers between both families. The last 4 or 5 times we've ordered here we've been pretty disappointed - but today we received the order that officially has gotten us to the point where we will no longer be ordering or picking up food here anymore. Tonight's dinner was officially a waste of money. The peppers and onions were raw on a 1/2 sausage peppers and onions 1/2 extra cheese pie. We asked for it to be cooked well done, which we have plenty of times before, and the pizza had to be cooked in our oven so that the dough could finish cooking. The whole thing was a big, sloppy mess when we opened the cover. This place used to be great quality food - every single time. I get that times are tough and things are expensive, and things can't always be perfect. There's been a serious decline going on though, and tonight was kinda the last straw for our family.“

“Got invited to a #yelp event. I said pizza. I’m in. This place is kind of hidden but well worth it. Many pizza slices available. Soon as you walked in and smell the greatness you are going to have. The had sandwiches as well. I decided to get the Popeye slice (spinach & ricotta) and a prosciutto slice. Oh my goodness was amazing!! They had about 10 flavors of gelato to pick from as well. I got a scoop of the pistachio & a scoop of fruity pebbles. I was told by the owners daughter who was at register (very polite & friendly) they make them in house. I had to drive little of 30 min to get there. If you’re in the area stop by or if you like me take a ride. You won’t be sorry. There’s a fountain outside where you or the kids can cool off. “Wish I had more time to discect their Pizza. Was in town for National Hot Dog Day and snuck in a slice in between. Wish I went with the Garlic Knot slice now, but the regular slice was speaking to me. It was a very good slice that had good harmony. I like more sauce, but it did the trick.
