“This small spot would be bustling with street traffic from the local Mount Vernon government staff at lunch to the barrage of kids getting out of school needing a snack if it were not for COVID. According to local long timers, this place has been around for a while. On recommendation I tried the grilled chicken and rice platter. The chicken was fresh, hot, juicy and tender with fluffy seasoned rice underneath and a cool basic lettuce and tomato salad off to the side. All packed neatly in a styrofoam carry out box. The cucumber sauce is worth requesting extra on the side. You'll thank me later. The owner seems to always be there and is quite personable. There's also a little Jamaican booth right inside the store. They seem to stay having business. I hope both spots can withstand the effects of the city shutdown and lack of customers. I'd hate to see them close like many of their neighbors.“

We had too much food so had some to go and had a late night snack! Chicken wings weren't soggy, Mac and cheese were great! I'd say the chicken strip, chicken wings, and Kim chee fried rice were a good choice. Kids (4,7,9) loved the wings and Mac&cheese.Once we got back to our hotel(NJ), the wings were still good !!! BTW the wings aren't small, great size!!So that's why I say if you show up and it's full, take it home! Servers were great and cooks were great. Bussers worked their buttons off!!! The fact that it is located a few blocks from my house also encouraged me to try it.Rokstar Chicken Harlem is located on the second floor of the building. The space is also shared by the Food Bizarre but you can’t miss Rokstar. You have to place your order on the screen that is located at the counter.I order a medium order of chicken wings, which brings 10 wings, with Korean Sweet Chili. My order took about 15 minutes. If the wait is something you would like to avoid, you can order on their website ahead of time.They have three tables along the wall for you to eat your meal, which I should have done because I felt my wings weren’t as hot as they should be (I walked home which took about 8 minutes).I definitely recommend these wings with the same sauce I ordered. The wings are juicy with a crisp texture and the sauce has a kick to it but it’s not overwhelmingly spicy.I will definitely be returning.“
“They have THE BEST chicken tenders in town! The quality of the meat and the size is definitely on point. I only purchase from here if I'm craving some. I haven't had the chance to purchase anything else yet, but so far so good. The only thing that I wish can improve are their business hours. They are closed Saturday and Sunday which sucks.“
