“I have been going to this place since they first opened. I love this family and the food was always great. I moved out of state 20 years ago and went up 2 years ago. I was glad to see them still there and the Owner remembered me from back then. Love their food and the way they treated their employees and customers. I hope they are still there when I come up next time.“

“I strictly go here for shrimp and mash! fried or natural, either type are delicious but my fav is the natural’s. I also get a side of tostones with the garlic sauce 🤤 It’s a small spot & could get loud and crowded at times but the food is well worth it, but to go plates are more so the way to go, it’s a good spot you get served fast it’s open 24hrs.“

Jay fish market has been my go to for my saw food needs since I moved in the Bronx 6 yearw ago.
The fish is always fresh and the staff is attentive and hard working, they also SERVE fried seafood platters which I intend to TRY but have yet to do so.
The other day when I went to BUY my seafood, I noticed red tilapias. ? I wondered if they WERE a new breed since I never knew that tilapias came in that color, I enquired via google to make sure that they were in fact naturally grown as the black ones. To find out that they are compared to red snapper and it is said that the black ones are usually used for fillets. Anyway I brought one and to my surprise it was delicious, meaty and very tasty ?.
I am giving Jay fish market a thumbs up for selling such good seafood since I have been living in the Bronx. I recommend this location for all your seafood needs, the prices are great, the seafood is fresh and I know the fried seafood is good because people eat in there often even though the place is small.

I had both fish and shrimp and there new potato salad for just 2.00 and a half and half that was sweet and cold, It was so filling great taste not overcooked made on the spot and you get 2 slice of wheat bread! I love the tartar sauce too!“

“The food was flavorful. The plating was also quite nice. The portions were generous. The service was ok, but the staff was friendly. The seating arrangement was good as well. The staff worked quickly to accommodate our party of 8. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place. Just be aware about parking as it might be tough to find a spot, but definitely worth the trip.“

“Oh i love this place, usually easy parking, clean, fast, great fresh tasting food! Prices are very affordable, stuff for adults and kids. Social distancing and hand sanitizer is definitely a plus.
