Late last night, my friend and I got the Mixed Berry Frozen Yogurt parfait while waiting for our train, and it was delicious. Best part, it was made with all fresh fruit. We watched the server slice bananas for each parfait. This was our first time at Chickpea in Penn Station, and would definitely return.
Chickpea is a regional franchise chain with numerous locations in the New York Metropolitan area. It specializes in Middle Eastern cuisine, particularly sandwiches and wraps, with lots of salad options and quite a few all vegetables and non meat choices. Particularly popular are the variations on falafel and shawafel, a combination of falafel and shawarma. Dishes can be done here as pockets, wraps, sandwiches, salads, and grain bowls.
