Four Four South Village is an affordable Taiwanese spot with quick service. Went on a Saturday for lunch time and we were the only guests there, so we were seated immediately and service was very fast. Service was quick, quality of service was ok - This is an in and out type of place. The restaurant is spacious and you don't feel crammed at all, unlike many places in the area. If you have a hankering for some amazing Taiwanese food, head over to Four Four South Village. They have some of the best Taiwanese food I've had in the city. As per their website, they "invited the Chefs who have won the gold medal and silver medal of the International Section of Taipei International Beef Noodle Festival to be their R & D team." I ate their beef noodle soup and scallion pancake beef roll. They were both sublime.

I visited their east village location on this occasion. I had the spicy beef and tendon noodle soup. It wasn't overly spicy which was perfect for me. The beef was super tender. The tendon was nice and chewy. This is a fantastic place for a quick beef noodle dish when the mood sets in.
