Cubby Hole Light Lager
Brooklyn Pilsner

“Fun vibe. They just let too many people inside (very small space, VERY packed). Like shoulder-to-shoulder at 11pm.
I know they rebranded to a queer bar rather than lesbian but it’s pretty lesbian lol. A lot of PDA which was kinda jarring.
There’s an electric jukebox. Pretty cool. They blow bubbles. Pretty cool.
Not a place for dancing. There’s just no room to dance.
A Long Island ice tea was $14 and solid. Strong. They also have $8 beers.
Cash only. No credit/card.“

“I usually go to Rockbar on jockstrap night, and it’s always a blast! The atmosphere is super welcoming and inclusive of all body types, which creates a really positive vibe. The drinks are priced as you’d expect for a bar in the city, and the overall energy is just so much fun. Plus, the men—absolutely hot! If you’re looking for a great time with a friendly crowd, this is the place to be. Highly recommend!“

Club Cumming Gay Bar • $$
505 E 6th St, New York

“I LOVE CLUB CUMMING. Colt and Nick were the kindest bar tenders, and even gave my boyfriend and I free, home made cookies! I was nervous on the way to the club because I can be socially anxious, but my boyfriend and I had the best time ever. I can’t wait to come back during an event! And to maybe meet Alan!“

Uncle Charlie’s Piano Lounge Gay Bar • $$
139 E 45th St, New York

“My husband & discovered Uncle Charlie’s a few years ago on a trip & now it’s a must for us every time we visit NYC. We like that it’s less touristy & more of a local hangout than some of the other piano bars in town. The bartenders & local regulars are friendly, the drinks reasonably priced & we have always felt very welcome included as visitors.“

The Duplex Gay Bar • $
61 Christopher St, New York

“Well this is certainly the place to be on a Monday night! After being recommended by 2 different friends, we decided to go in Monday for some shenanigans. We were treated wonderfully by KJ and Luke! And those VOICES! OMG. Danny on the piano was a genius, and I feel like we're all old friends now. :) They will sing anything you want, including 3-part harmonies (my favorite). We will go back soon!“

“An icon well worth checking out. The walls are adorned with write ups and glamour shots. Julius earned its place in history for the ‘sip-in’ and has endured for its modest and simple style. Cash only, pub food if you’re hungry and friendly bartenders eager to please. Solid bar for the working class.“

Pieces Gay Bar • $$

“This place is a blast! It’s fabulously decorated, with upbeat staff, a lively crowd, and super fun shows. Ruby Roo was behind the bar, and I don’t think I’ve had that much fun on a Tuesday night in ages. I even came back another night just to catch the show again. Definitely a really fun spot to be!“

G Lounge Chelsea Gay Bar •

“G lounge is a fun place with a very diverse clientele.....some of the people complaining are probably just cheap and not used to not being the only cute dude in the room...but they all did the right thing, you don't like it..LEAVE....no one wants Debbie downers at a party, misery usually brings company!!!!“

Suite Gay Bar • $
992 Amsterdam Ave, New York

“The crowds are good and the drinks are just OK. But the bar is dirty, and it's overcrowded, looking like a fire trap waiting to happen. Clean your disgusting bathroom more. I can only speak for the men's room, but the women's room probably is just as bad. I give it 1 star.“

“Reserved a table for two earlier in the day for a bite to eat before a show. Was told on arrival if we wanted seats with backs we would have to sit IN the bar area. I opted to not sit in the bar (as it was very crowded and loud) and was given a table without seat backs (as I expected) , but, 4 tables around me were empty the whole time we were there that had the seats with backs. Was just as noisy where I was seated and it was hard eating with a coat and pocketbook balanced on my lap. Food was decent, but the steak sandwich was way toochewy“

“Dive bar in the LES. I got that old school vibe from the place. Great hangout spot. They screened a silent film that night (Salomè) and I was chilling while the guys I came with played pool and had some beers. It was a rainy night and I enjoyed myself regardless. I don't drink but I still felt comfortable there.“

“Love this place. Hosted our nonprofit event there in February for Lunar New Year and we worked with Anika who is a true delight to work with — super responsive and proactive in making our event dreams come true.

The space is warm and cozy while also feeling spacious enough to host big groups. Cocktails are also very yummy — definitely host your event here or stop by for a cocktail!“

The Monster Gay Bar • $
80 Grove St, New York

“I was here at the turn of the millennium, in 2001, and found this place to be the most melancholic yet cheerful, the most intelligent, intriguing, friendly, and wonderful hangout in Manhattan.
I wonder if Robert, a regular, is still alive, and if the bald pianist whose name I can't remember still works here.
Goodbye, Monster. You were very important to my stay there.

Italy, here.“

Hardware Gay Bar • $
697 10th Ave, New York

“I've come here after BARS kickball now twice (Sunday afternoons) and I've had a good experience. Bartenders were friendly enough and the place is well air-conditioned. Each time the prices were good, especially getting a 16-ounce Blue Moon for $5 (unheard of). I also appreciate that there's way more space and indoor seating here than at DBL. It seems to me that this place is well suited for a relaxed, social drinking experience with simple highballs or draft beer; I haven't been on a Friday or Saturday night looking to dance and I haven't ordered a signature cocktail, so I can't speak on that“

Gym Sportsbar Gay Bar • $$

“Heck yeah! Loved this place, after we went to the shop next door and got some pumps. The pool table was fun and not crowded on a saturday. Although the balls kind of dissppeared in the table on the third game. Well, thats what happens to balls at this place. Go LA Dodgers! Friendly staff. Love yall! 🏳️‍🌈“
