“The food at Djondjon is spot on.... This restaurant is a jewel. The food is amazing, and the hospitality is off the chart. There is free jazz often enough. The quality far surpasses the price. I love their pasta, their fish and their goats which come in various varieties. Their appetizers are yummy. I will continue to patronize this place. I had my Cabrit boukannen ( grilled goat) and it really pleased my taste buds.“

“This is my go-to Haitian restaurant whenever I’m working in the area. The food is always delicious, flavorful, and freshly prepared, and it reminds me of authentic home-style Haitian cooking. Although they used to serve larger portions and it seems like the serving sizes have been reduced a bit, the quality of the food remains consistent. The owner is very welcoming, respectful, and friendly, which makes each visit feel pleasant and appreciated. Overall, it is still a great place to stop for a satisfying Haitian meal, and I would continue to recommend it to anyone looking for good food and warm customer service.“

“Absolutely fantastic experience at BunNan in New York! We visited during happy hour and ordered the Plantain Jerk, the Snapper Sliders and a lemonade. Everything was absolutely delicious, full of flavour, beautifully prepared and excellent value.
A special mention to our server, Gabby, who was brilliant. She was friendly, attentive and made us feel so welcome from start to finish. Her service really made the experience even better.
If you're looking for authentic Haitian food in New York, I'd highly recommend BunNan. I'll definitely be returning!“

“I found out about this place from my cousin. As a Latino I have tried all types of rice from mexican to traditional rice and beans from Puerto Rico and Dominican republic. Also let's not forget Cuba, never have Iv been so addicted to hatian rice in my life. I usually order party tray from them because my whole family takes home extra. All their food is amazing, as a Latino I approve this place!!“

“I always wanted to try get some haitian Food for myself. The food was amazing and the shop it was clean and neat.
The people there have respect and have manners.
One guy was helping me learn how to take orders on the app .

Listen the fried plantain was amazing , the black rice with fried chicken and salad beets ,and stem cabbage.. it is my favourite …

“I am not Haitian but I fell in love with pate kode, pickliz and black rice and this place is one of the places that makes the best of these three things. They are always open at a great hour and my plate is always packed. If you are looking for food that packs flavor and a good kick this place is your spot. Definitely try the pate kode“

“It’s a walkaround pick and choose style restaurant with no seating area. The food is well protected from the public. They serve plenty of food/meat contrary to other Haitian restaurants which are really stingy when it comes to serving meat.
The food was worth the fair price.
Servers were very well mannered.“

“I ordered takeout yesterday and the food was AMAZING. Some of the best Haitian food I’ve had in a while. Even reheated some leftovers this morning and it was still so good!
The only thing was that DoorDash showed a special six deal for $32.99 but the actual price when ordering is $39.59 which was weird.“

“I’m Guyanese, but I absolutely adore food and culture. I love the language, the food, and after every restaurant I visit, I’m always treated poorly
when I inquire about the cuisine. So, when I read great reviews about this restaurant, I was a bit hesitant to go in. I was afraid i might insult me because I don’t speak the language. But to my surprise, she greeted me warmly and asked, “Hello, baby! How can I help you?” behind her it’s a portrait of her loving husband. That has passed away.
I was instantly captivated and didn’t even taste the food. The kindness she showed me made me realize that this place is a haven where food is made with love. Even though I don’t speak the language,
she always greets me with warmth and affection, calling me “hello, baby.” I visit this restaurant on my saddest days. I crave comfort in a delicious home cooked meal and love also, is delicious delicious delicious

“to sum it up: it's just very very nice, you'll have to come see for yourself
they're a great mix of flaky and smooth, not greasy, and the fillings are very nice (especially the beef and chicken). The fish patty is milder but in a very nice way, if you're looking for lighter flavors. They also have sweet pastries and snacks that I have yet to try! Very worth your money, great prices.“

“I passed this place while in the area and was super intrigued to try a Haitian bakery. I stopped in and ordered a few patties (fish and herring), and was very pleasantly surprised at the non-inflated prices. The patties themselves were SO good and filled me up a lot more than I expected.
I will be back and highly recommend!!“

“Had a really nice experience at this Haitian restaurant. The staff were very friendly and the food was great, full of flavor and came out fresh and hot. The only downside was that the front door was locked when we arrived, so we had to knock/wait to be let in, and they are cash only, which can be inconvenient if you’re not prepared. Overall, I’d still recommend it for the food and service, but bring cash and be aware you might need to get someone to open the door.“
