“The food at Djondjon is spot on.... This restaurant is a jewel. The food is amazing, and the hospitality is off the chart. There is free jazz often enough. The quality far surpasses the price. I love their pasta, their fish and their goats which come in various varieties. Their appetizers are yummy. I will continue to patronize this place. I had my Cabrit boukannen ( grilled goat) and it really pleased my taste buds.“

“The food was excellent. The staff was friendly, kind and gracious. We all had du riz djon-djon. Half of our group had griot the half had stewed chicken. Everything was superb. The legume was so smooth and fine that you feed it to a baby. Definitely will return.“

“Honestly, just thinking about the food from here is enough to make me want to go back already. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of spice. I had the fish sandwich while my husband ordered the pork and chicken, and every dish came out hot and freshly prepared. The passion juice and soup were also excellent and added even more flavor to the meal. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant itself was clean and comfortable throughout the visit. You could really tell the food was made to order instead of sitting around waiting to be served. Overall, this ended up being one of those places that leaves a strong first impression and immediately makes you plan your next visit.“

“I found out about this place from my cousin. As a Latino I have tried all types of rice from mexican to traditional rice and beans from Puerto Rico and Dominican republic. Also let's not forget Cuba, never have Iv been so addicted to hatian rice in my life. I usually order party tray from them because my whole family takes home extra. “Ran out of Haitian bean sauce, so I went online to order some. Found a few solid spots and ended up getting the gratin and the plantain sandwich. Both hit, but the plantain sandwich caught me off guard. Didn’t think it’d be that good. And the gratin’s the only one out of the three Haitian restaurants I’ve tried that I actually liked. Mom’s is still better. Their bean sauce was great too.“

“It’s a walkaround pick and choose style restaurant with no seating area. The food is well protected from the public. They serve plenty of food/meat contrary to other Haitian restaurants which are really stingy when it comes to serving meat.
The food was worth the fair price.

“I’m Guyanese, but I absolutely adore food and culture. I love the language, the food, and after every restaurant I visit, I’m always treated poorly

when I inquire about the cuisine. So, when I read great reviews about this restaurant, I was a bit hesitant to go in. I was afraid i might insult me because I don’t speak the language. But to my surprise, she greeted me warmly and asked, “Hello, baby! How can I help you?” behind her it’s a portrait of her loving husband. That has passed away.

I was instantly captivated and didn’t even taste the food. The kindness she showed me made me realize that this place is a haven where food is made with love. Even though I don’t speak the language,

she always greets me with warmth and affection, calling me “hello, baby.” I visit this restaurant on my saddest days. I crave comfort in a delicious home cooked meal and love also, is delicious delicious delicious

“Had a really nice experience at this Haitian restaurant. The staff were very friendly and the food was great, full of flavor and came out fresh and hot. The only downside was that the front door was locked when we arrived, so we had to knock/wait to be let in, and they are cash only, which can be inconvenient if you’re not prepared. Overall, I’d still recommend it for the food and service, but bring cash and be aware you might need to get someone to open the door.“

“I passed this place while in the area and was super intrigued to try a Haitian bakery. I stopped in and ordered a few patties (fish and herring), and was very pleasantly surprised at the non-inflated prices. The patties themselves were SO good and filled me up a lot more than I expected.
