I was able to get a last minute reservation here on a weekend trip to NYC. And wow! I should have know from the great reviews, but Kindred really blew it out of the water. I had the tasting/prefix menu with the wine pairing. Every course tasted incredible, was the right size, and flowed seamlessly into the next. I think about my meal here way too often, counting down the days until I can go back.
1st off, I thought it was odd that their is no phone number for this restaurant. I wanted to move my reservation up 30 minutes and that was not possible. Tasty food but the smallest portions were so small. I finished my entire meal in 2 minutes and I was not eating fast. Going to be at least $75/person if you dine here FYI. Great and versatile neighborhood spot- can pop in for a drink after after work or can sit down for 4 courses and get remarkable service either way. The bar staff knows the menu so well, and can point u in the right direction. Personal favorites are the grilled octopus, the lobster quadratini, and the Krafne for dessert, and whatever amaro the bar staff recommends.
