Kossar's Bagels & Bialys is a grab-and-go spot with a window into the prep area where bagels are handmade on site. The coffee is very good — strong, crisp, and fresh tasting. The staff is friendly and professional. They have a full selection of bagels and cream cheeses, an all day breakfast menu, classic sandwiches, fresh baked pastries and cookies, yogurt, juice, and coffee. A plain cream cheese on a toasted plain bagel is a simple favorite. The bialys are best eaten fresh while still warm, though some feel they should be flatter and airier, and that the onions in the middle are still great. There is some seating inside with a few two-top tables and two seats at a bar at the window. However, if it is busy, finding a seat can be difficult. The biggest disappointment is that there is no restroom available for customers, which takes away from the experience. The location is great, but the line can get long. Overall, it is the best bagel in the area, keeping that culture in the neighborhood.
