Apparently this place is the oldest bialy maker in nyc. Unpopular opinion but I don’t see the difference between a bialy and bagel here other than the bialy is smaller. Its like a mini bagel. It was good especially with scallion cream cheese but didn’t see the hype with the difference in a bialy. Overall, I had a good experience and would go back. Not sure I would go out of the way though.
A classic spot to get bagels and bialys in Lower East Side. Kossar’s is famous for its bialys, so apparently their bialys are top notch, even better than their bagels imo.*Onion BialysBialy is a flat roll with a hole in the center spread with onion. It has a soft bread like texture. Compared to bagels, bialys are less dense and less filling. Small amount of lox on my Classic and they forgot the tomatoes. Check out Tals on 1st & 20th so much better.
