One of the most humiliating and distressing hotel experiences I have ever had. My room key stopped working multiple times in a single day while I was staying on the 27th floor of the hotel. Each time the key failed, I was forced to travel back and forth through crowded, completely full elevators just to attempt to access a room I had already paid for, wasting time and increasing my distress.

Our room was comfortable, spacious, and light with lovely retro-mod furnishings. The service team for both the room and the lobby restaurant were top notch - and our waiter even entertained my nine year old with magic tricks! The Central Park south location was perfect for us since it was only a 10 minute walk to the playground and space to run around. Parker's at Thompson Central Park offers great food, fantastic service, and a lively ambiance. The arugula salad is beyond delicious. The restaurant is spacious and not too crowded, providing a comfortable dining experience. It's a great spot for a delightful meal, whether you're dining alone or with company. The roomy atrium setting and the "living ceiling" of plants create a nice atmosphere. The food is clearly very high quality, though the menu options are perhaps a bit traditional. The staff members are very helpful and friendly. Service was fairly prompt, but can be slow at times, especially when the restaurant is busy with room service orders. The coffee, both drip and espresso drinks, is surprisingly good. The restaurant is kid-friendly with high chairs available.
