Crust: have only tried the Margherita. It has a thin, nearly pastry-like but not-floppy crust that bakes to a kind of pastry-like texture on top.Sauce: is "medium/moderate": it's not sweet or spicy, thick or thin, etc. Doesn't taste like it comes from a jar (not one I can afford, anyway).Topping: ditto.Service: Unusually good, and delivery person is a restaurant employee (so he's invested enough to care).
Pizza Pete's isn't just a great pizzeria, it - genuinely- might just be the most criminally underrated pizza spot in American culinary history. The fact that I have never seen it mentioned - anywhere - on any list of New York pizza spots - when what Pizza Pete's is doing comes out so *visibly* different from what you would get at *any* other pizzeria in Manhattan - to me - is completely crazy.

so i don’t have any pictures of my pizza to share because i absolutely scarfed it down. because it IS SO good. Intensely flavorful and lovely and warm and crunchy. and i got a slice and a soda for under six dollars. this is the west village. 10/10 will be coming again one day.
