About Renaissance restaurant

Renaissance restaurant in Harlem offers a cozy, small space with great ambiance and a lively vibe, especially during brunch with a DJ playing throwback hits. The staff is friendly and attentive, with service that makes guests feel right at home. The food is delicious and authentic, with standout dishes like the Branzino fish with potatoes, zucchini, and carrots, which is tasty and satisfying. The Red Snapper with Jollof rice and spinach is also highly recommended, as is the Rasta pasta, rated a 1000/10 for its perfect spice and flavor. However, some dishes have issues: the branzino can be dry with many bones, and the lobster ravioli is described as gross, tasting frozen with no lobster, only a mushy orange substance. The fish and sides could be improved, and a side of bacon ordered not crispy came as cold crispy bits for $10.00. The short ribs are a favorite, and the Grilled Octopus, Lobster Mac and Cheese, and Cheesecake are good options. A major concern is an automatic 25% gratuity charged to the bill, though it was lowered after complaining. Guests are advised to look over charges before paying.

A-MAZ-ING! We stopped in after going to Bill's place and needed some food, but not full meals. Grilled octopus app was eaten by one of us and it was delicious. We all shared the phenomenal Brussels sprouts- must try. The perfect cook and just a bit of acidity. Perfect veggie. Then, when I tell you there is no better mushroom risotto, there is none. Creamy and smooth, but not too cheesy, perfect texture. So wonderful. A piece of cheesecake was taken to go and it did not disappoint....read full review
The food was really good. There are a lot of different things on the menu that you should try. You may run into a celebrity or two at this restaurant. Just keep your eyes open. They have happy hour. Please check the times. You can also grab some of their appetizers for a great price.
Went there to celebrate a birthday. We were a small group of 7 women. There were choices of buying bottomless drinks to buying soda and juice. The food was delicious and everyone seemed to enjoy their meal. The cheapest meal was $19. They dj kept the music playing pretty loud but it was good music and he was very sweet.
