Had such a wonderful omakase experience at Shinpi Omakasa! 🍣✨ Every course was beautifully presented, and the quality of the ingredients really stood out.
We started with cold noodles and a delicate chawanmushi, followed by fresh Kumamoto oysters, Hawaii amberjack sashimi, scallop, and Canadian ebi. The sashimi course was incredibly fresh, especially the madai and shima-aji.
The king salmon and lean tuna were simple but so flavorful, while the...read full review

Hands down one of the best omakase experiences I’ve had in a long time! The fish is super fresh and delicious straight from Japan, and head chef Erik’s precision and creativity are incredible- plus the menu changes seasonally, so you get something unique every time.
Great service- they texted right after I booked to ask about allergies, remembered the birthday candle without me having to remind them, brought out complimentary sake and the chef spent time chatting with us...read full review

Such a fun omakase experience at Shinpi! 🍣 Everything was so fresh and beautifully presented. The toro with caviar and A5 wagyu + uni were definitely the highlights for me 🤤 The Kumamoto oyster, amberjack sashimi, shima-aji, and king salmon were also amazing.
Loved the intimate sushi counter vibe — definitely a spot I’d come back to! ✨

Shinpi Omakase is a highly-recommended restaurant known for its fresh ingredients and creative twists on classic dishes. Located strategically near Penn Station and K-Town, it draws a diverse crowd, including overseas students. The chefs work simultaneously to cater to small groups, providing exceptional service while swapping and cleaning plates in a timely manner. The 15-piece Omakase remains a standout, delivering a memorable dining experience. Customers praise the amazing sushi, the enthusiastic and attentive chefs, and the reasonable pricing. Notably, the presentation of dishes, like the gold sprayed nigiri, adds to the appeal.
The restaurant offers a magical experience near 33rd street/K town. Customers can pick an 18-course Omakase and enjoy a selection of beers and sake. The Wagyu steak is a favorite, melting in the mouth with a slight graceful smoky flavor. The creative seafood items, such as an appetizer of oyster, uni, caviar, and fish roe, are novel and offer a delightful umami experience. While the nigiri items may be average, they are still reasonably good considering the price. The chef, Eric, is known for his fun and engaging interaction with customers, adding to the great vibes.
