Came last year for the omakase and recently tried one of the take out chirashi box. The omakase was an incredible experience with super attentive and hospitable staff. Def recommend.
I really enjoyed the chirashi box too! It's a great deal, with lots of different fish for $70. After picking up, you can enjoy it in Bryant Park. It was filling too. Will try to get the chirashi box a couple of times a year

Immaculate, refined, delicious, and pricey. Definitely not a sushi restaurant you can make your local spot, but raises and sets the bar so high that for diners who emphasize quality over quantity, it's ok to forgo most other sushi places and prioritize the top of the top that NY has to offer.

The service is excellent, with attentive chefs meticulously preparing each dish right in front of you. The restaurant has a strict no-photography policy, which allows diners to focus fully on the moment. The menu includes various dishes such as mackerel, lobster cake with risotto, aged yellowtail, red uni, and hairy crab. Customers can pay for additional courses, including the popular a-la-carte items, with some enjoying multiple servings of their favorites. The atmosphere is bright and traditional, with a gorgeous space that feels welcoming and not stuffy. Watching the staff prepare multiple okonome orders is a highlight, adding a fun element to the experience. The food is highly praised, especially the Crab nigiri, which is considered on another level. The drinks are satisfactory, but the main attraction remains the sushi. Many guests appreciate the mastery of traditional techniques and the overall quality, making Sushi Sho one of the best sushi restaurants, if not the best.
