About The Django

The Django is a jazz club located in the basement of the Roxy hotel, offering a unique and elegant atmosphere for a special night out. The environment has a pretty, old-timey vibe, with decor that adds to its charm. Guests can enjoy a beautiful and memorable venue with seating options that include a bar area and reserved tables, with reservations lasting for a 90-minute period. The cover charge is $35 per person, which supports the live jazz performances that are highly praised. The Django features a full bar, with drinks priced at $18-22, and some guests have noted that the drinks, like dirty martinis and old fashion cocktails, are very strong and enjoyable. The restaurant serves a variety of dishes, including tenderloin, kale salad, and cod, with food quality receiving high praise. Popular dishes like chicken kiev, burger, and mac and cheese are enjoyed by guests. Although some visitors suggest dining elsewhere before the show, the overall service and entertainment provided by the live jazz bands make it worth the expense. The small space can get crowded, but attentive and friendly service helps create a welcoming experience for all visitors. While the atmosphere encourages enjoying the music, some guests feel that the performance could be more lively, especially during late shows.

It's too bad because the space is attractive and sounds very good, but the venue attracts the worst sorts of hipsters and upscale tourists who talk loudly (and stupidly) throughout the set with no respect for the music, musicians, or their fellow patrons.

Overall, the experience was okay, but we were disappointed with our seating. We couldn’t really see the performer because our table was on the same line as the band instead of facing the stage. It would have been much better if the seats were positioned toward the performer. Our table was also very wobbly, which made it a little uncomfortable. Despite those issues, we still had an okay experience that night.

Beautiful atmosphere, feels like a real hidden treasure. 🎷Went on a date and both enjoyed very much, very sophisticated relaxing atmosphere also took pictures in the Photo Booth. Tickets plus food and drinks were bit pricey though. The show was lively and there were tons of options for non drinkers.
