Came here for dinner was seated almost immediately. We had a few drinks (nothing blew us away) and got the chicken parm entree. The dish was served in a skillet and was pretty tasty! The only thing we wished was that the pasta had sauce on it as well (it was only covering the chicken). The tables were pretty spaced out which was nice and we sat on the end so we were able to sit next to each other rather than across which was nice. My husband and I have always wanted to try this place, pre quarantine. We were so excited to hear of it re-opening for delivery/takeout so we could add another restaurant to our queue of delivery options. Must say, it was very quick and very delicious. At first we were hesitant that the food came within 25 minutes and we live 15 blocks and an avenue away, but, it did not seem like the food was carelessly put together (guess they are just that fast!). The Writing Room is a wonderful, cozy UES spot, casual as well as for fine dining. It is inviting, full of fun, provides great service and is dedicated to comfort food. Great addition to our neighborhood and community. Always happy to be part of this wonderful place.
